“A must to see”
Reviewed February 8, 2013

The tours to the Underground River are well-organized by trained guides. It is about a 15 boat ride to the cove, a 5 min walk to through the rainforest and 30 min boat tour to the river and caves. It is worth seeing the rock formations and appreciating the serenity of the underground river. Caution: the wild monkeys are attracted by plastic bags probably from the previous visitors who fed them from food inside the plastic bags.

“FANTASTIC - It's a real natural wonder”
Reviewed February 7, 2013

The underground river is a must see when you visit puerto princesa. My wife and I enjoyed the tour so much. The boatman also knows the cave by heart. Our boatman named budoy is so funny and made sure that you enjoy the tour. He was also very familiar what is inside the cave explaining everything so that you can visualize what you can not see as the inside of the cave was so dark and the only light was the spotlight in front of the boat. Visiting the underground river is an experience you will never forget. I highly recommend it...

“Impressive but not the 7th wonder of the natural world.”
Reviewed February 5, 2013

As with everything in the Philippines it could be better organised. The caves inside the river are impressive but it all depends on who sits at the front of the boat and hold the light and the quality of your boat driver giving the tour.

They could do a lot more to make it a better experiance.

“not just another cave”
Reviewed February 5, 2013

The day trip was well organised with a stop at Ugong Rock on the way to Sabang. We were amazed at the size of the underground cavern through which the river flows- so high in some places.
The trip could be improved if each boat had a trained 'light pointer' to illuminate the features rather than using a tourist to handle the light as they often don't know in which direction to shine the torch! More information of a geological/scientific nature would be good as the natural attraction is quite amazing.
