We arranged the resort stay (3 days, 2 nights) beforehand and there was a representative from the resort waiting at the airport meeting area for us and they took us to their office in the centre of Puerto Princesa (PP) City in a spacious, air-conditioned van, and we were invited to venture around for an hour or so, owing to boat schedules to the island, but before we left the office, we were asked if we wished to avail of any Palawan excursions; as the ones we had wanted had been arranged already, we declined, but other travellers took them up and the office arranged everything right there and then.
After meeting up at their office again, we were then taken to the dock at Honda Bay, and, after a motor boat ride of an hour or so, we arrived at the resort and, after having welcome drinks, were shown to our beach villa, which was clean, well made up and had the usual amenities, such as a stocked mini-bar, bathroom toiletries and a safe to put valuables in.
Getting around the resort was done by walking and by use of pedal bicycles, which were on a "first-come, first-served" basis - basically, if a bike was available, take it, if not, start walking!
Activities at the resort include volleyball, tennis, basketball, table tennis, darts, pool (pocket billiards), table football (foosball), a large pool and a spa for pampering.
For the more adventurous, there is kayaking and snorkelling for free, or diving for a fee.
There was free wi-fi available, but not in the individual beach huts, only at the restaurant area, which was slightly disappointing, but not too much of a big deal.
There was a breakfast buffet which started at 07:00, which was superb and plentiful - they made pancakes, waffles, scrambled eggs and omelettes to order and we ate as much as we could.
Now, on to my one and only complaint - the food during the rest of the day: there was not much choice and, for what it was, was quite steep, compared w/ lunch in PP, or during the various excursions; the same was true for buying souvenirs - we ended up not buying anything at the resort, but bought in PP and at souvenir shops at the attractions we visited.
We had a very enjoyable time at the resort and, apart from the overpriced thing above, we liked everything about this place - I would recommend this resort to families, groups of friends and couples, but maybe bring some snacks from PP before getting here!
