We stayed at Subli for four days and were very sad when we left. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't about bad service or anything like that- in fact it was the opposite. We wish we could have stayed there longer. Mr. Glenn and Ms. Nancy were the best host anyone could ask for. The place was perfect- peaceful and very clean, and all the staff were so nice and friendly. Breakfast was delicious (especially the danguit served with fried rice and egg). The hammocks, reading area and big mango tree add up to the very cozy environment that we immediately loved. The talking birds were very delightful and entertaining. We will definitely go back there someday and recommend Subli to all our friends who are planning a trip to Palawan. :)

Thanks so much for appreciating everything at Subli - from the hammocks to the mango tree to the talking birds and to the breakfast. It makes all our efforts worthwhile and inspires us to continue doing what we are doing.
When you return, the birds will hopefully have a wider vocabulary! Thanks a lot!

My husband and I stayed in one of the cabins whilst our Mums stayed in another. All four of us enjoyed our stay at Subli for several reasons:
1. lovely rural look setting - my husband is a professional photographer who really only takes photos when he's inspired and he was keen to take photos of the simple but beautiful setting (80-year-old mango tree is impressive!)
2. yummy cooked breakfast - served hot and at the time you prefer
3. very clean - everything was all in order and tidy when we got there. no moulds in the bathroom which is pretty impressive
4. very hospitable hosts - Glen was wonderful in offering to drop us off places - restaurants, ATMs, etc.
5. affordable and different - definitely prefer Subli over hotel accommodation, you'll be out and about when in Puerto anyway so no need for a hotel with a swimming pool. and since there are only four guest cabins, it's very peaceful!

"a little piece of heaven", that's what i would call Subli Guest Cabins. my husband and i booked Subli for our honeymoon trip to puerto princesa. we were both delighted at the laid-back, relaxing/chill ambiance of Subli. the hammocks in the garden, common space/bahay kubo, dining spaces, and our cabin, which is good for a family, were all quaint and comfortable. Subli is really nicely tucked inside a subdivision, away from the bustling city center, and therefore, provides that quiet and pleasant stay and environment. the 10-minute tricycle ride from the city center is well worth it! and the free wifi connection is a plus of course.

the staff, especially geah and jovy, were both accommodating, kind and attentive to all our requests. the owner, ms. nancy was very nice and bubbly. she made our stay at Subli really wonderful and memorable.

with that said, would like to suggest to Subli to spice up its breakfast options. maybe some fruits and yogurt, cereal/oatmeal would be nice, just to provide a lighter option to the heavy breakfast menu. :-)

will definitely recommend Subli to my friends and colleagues and will be back for sure. money spent wisely (and worthwhile here).

kudos to you ms. nancy and your staff. more power! spread the good vibes and Palaweno hospitality.

We are so touched that you chose Subli for your honeymoon! Thank you for making this place a part of the beautiful memories you are starting to collect as husband and wife. We are just sorry we could not accommodate you till the end of your Palawan vacation. And once again, we are amazed at how talented our guests are when it comes to narrating. We'd like to think that our mango tree weaves a spell on each and every guest, turning them into novelists! Haha! Thank you so so very much for such a beautiful review. Rest assured, we will have the fruits and yogurt as well as the cereal and oatmeal on your next visit.

One word can't describe how great it is to have stayed at Subli Guest Cabins.

For a short review:
The place is an epitome of bliss and relaxation, in addition to the kindest and humblest owners. :)

Now, for a longer review:
Due to many b&bs and hotels in puerto princesa, one would surely have a hard time looking for that perfect place since each accommodation promises true comfort and great experience. However, as I have read a lot of reviews and blogs (not just basing tripadvisor), I knew I should stay in Subli.

As I have inquired with Subli through email, Ma'am Nancy responded to it promptly. During the exchange of emails, I have observed that Ma'am Nancy is very professional in responding my emails. She answers it immediately and patiently.

We are a group of 3 so we chose the queen cabin for our 1st night. However, since there is no available cabin for our 2nd night, I asked Ma'am Nancy if she has a recommended inn for us to transfer. She answered my question fairly. Good thing, Ma'am Nancy was very kind to offer their Manager's hut just for us not be hassled in transferring to other inn. I declined at 1st but thinking that it would be very inconvenient to transfer to the other inn for our 2nd night, I accepted it. They do not offer their Manager's hut like the other cabins but just for special cases. And with that, I'm truly grateful because they allowed us to stay there on our 2nd night.

Their breakfast were cooked by Mr. Glenn (husband of Ma'am Nancy). All of the meals were delicious (you get to choose plain or fried rice, scrambled or sunny side up egg and tocino/longganisa/beef tapa) and were very sufficient since we needed energy for our daily tours.

They also offered free transfer to places in the city as long as Sir Glenn is available to drive.

Both cabins [Queen and Manager's hut] were very clean (that includes the towels and the bedsheets).

The cottage was such a nice concept that shows a "provincial" type of stay as an escape from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Aside from that, they treated their guests like one of their families. Such very humble owners they are. You can really experience true hospitality.

All in all, we were one of the happy and satisfied customers of Subli. Thanks to the owners Ma'am Nancy and Sir Glenn.

Simply put, Palawan in general is now my go-to vacation spot if I need to get away from the city and Subli Guest Cabins is my accommodation of choice. If you want a quiet relaxing place that's still well located in Puerto Princesa, this is your best bet.

The cabins are clean with basic amenities. The real attraction is the relaxed atmosphere and the service that the owners and staff provide. You'll never feel lost or uneasy in the area since they are always willing to shuttle you to the town proper and guide you on how to get around the city.

Tours can also be arranged with them or you can arrange them yourself (again, with helpful tips from the owners/staff).

Room Tip: There are only a few cottages but try to book the Queen for a larger bed.

The cottages are really nice and clean, comfortable place to stay.
Glen picked us up from the airport, which was great after a horrible turbulent flight to puerto princesa.
They both were very kind and treated us very good. The service is great and the breakfast delicious!!
We had a pleasant two night stay in subli cottages and I fully recommend to stay here in your trip to Puerto.
