If friendly staff, large room, rooftop garden, fan and own shower toilet for P550 is not cheap enough then go to Bankok. Each floor has a central common area but the roof top garden is OTT and situated some 15min walk from the main centre. There is alot of stairs but check out the reading area on level 3.

Stayed here for 6 months. I loved the place. They have wi-fi so if you need it it's available. There is a rooftop courtyard which is pretty and has a gorgeous view of the ocean especially at sunset. The rooms here are the cheapest in Palawan and the owners are very nice. If you tip the maids in chocolate they'll do a great job on your room. There's a central area with faux leathere couches where you can watch tv, a reading nook upstairs complete with a library and a kitchen and table so you can bring food back and have a meal in the comfort of the pensionne. All in all a great place to spend a month or two for only $150!

Room Tip: Pick a room with it's own washroom!

The room had a broken window and tons of ants. They did seem to try to keep it clean but there were alot of bugs. Also not as centrally located as we were lead to believe when booking. Very cheap rooms

My contact warned me that the rooms were not good when I was in the process of booking a place to stay. I usually booked months ahead of my travel date and I forgot about the warning when I suddenly had to look for another hotel when my cousin decided not to join me in the trip. I was looking for a cheap place to stay and I got what I want, needless to say, I got what I paid for. The room was 500php for a solo room with private ensuite and bath and AC. Not bad I told myself... But then what disappointed me was that the room was not well maintained and even dusty. Mine you, I am not a fussy traveler so to mean that I was really displeased. The bathroom did not look like it was cleaned in a while. The sink was even leaking! Before I left for tours the following day I told the girl in the front desk that I wanted to have my room cleaned and to that she nodded. I was shocked to find out in the evening that only the leak in the bathroom was fixed but the rest of the room was not. I was too tired to argue it out that night so I asked the girl again the following day. Later she told me that they clean rooms every other day but on the 3rd day the room was still the same when I got back. I was too lazy to look for another place to stay that is why I decided to remain despite being disappointed, The staff and owner were nice though... Still their pension house could very well use a major renovation. Will I be going back again? Maybe not. But because of the circumstances that happened, the last minute changes that lead to me booking this pension, in a way I am grateful that I was accommodated. I won't recommend it just the same.
