Just have to say, really good place.. After travelling through really crowded places, this is like heaven. First just rest for couple of days, then took well organized trips to the islands that were the most beatyful you can think. If you go to Palawan, i really recommend this one. Also when you have eat only rice for three months, here you can eat really good food, little expensive but its worth of the money. ;) Thanks for everyone there.

Small, intimate, rustic, water front, not touristy... These are the things we liked about Villa Leonora. We travelled 18 hours from Canada to Puerto to experience Palawan and this was a great first stop!

Arthur picked us up from the airport and showed us some of his favourite sights along the way (a wonderful lookout stop, some fisherman mending their nets). Loved that a porter was there at the gate to help us with our bags! And while far from Puerto, this was what appealed to us. It's right in a traditional village (so you can walk about and meet locals) but also has a nice enough quiet beach. The drive is beautiful.

During our stay, my partner and I commented on how much it felt like you were staying at a friend's cottage. The service was very low key and all you need to do is ask (beer, coconut juice, etc). We had the best dinners here! Tried the local food on the menu and we were surprised at how yummy there were! Ask if you don't know what it is. We did and tried them anyway.

Loved the attention to detail when we took the island hopping trip and our driver to the underground river looked after everything. All we had to do was get on the boat and get back to the dock in time! And remember this... BOOK YOUR UNDERGROUND TOUR WITH ARTHUR AHEAD OF TIME!!

Overall, tops. If you're after something low key.. this is a great place!! And chat people up! We met some of the friendliest people at the place.

Room Tip: Even though there were only 2 of us, we chose the family loft (with 2 floors). We used the first fl...

Villa Leonora was the best hotel we stayed in during our stay in Palawan. Electricity all day long, hot water showers, comfy beds and no fleas. These are luxuries you appreciate when visiting the island. Arthur was a great help in providing info for the rest of our holidays. I absolutely recommend this resort when visiting Honda Bay.

After a long journey we finally arrived at Villa Leonora to a most welcoming host! The accomodation was lovely, very clean, lots of room with good food (if you like spicy food just ask), we did and it was one of the best Pork Adobo's we had throughout the 3 weeks in Palawan. Arthur had helped us arrange a visit to the Underground River prior to arriving and this is something I recommend as it is extremely busy in high season and the Villa Leonora is located in a great place to visit easily with a car. This hotel is approx 1hr drive from Puerto Princessa in a quiet area that is perfect for an introduction to Palawan, for those people who need TV's or entertainment put on for them; you will find the nights are long, if you can make your own entertainment and enjoy talking to like minded people you will have a wonderful stay here. We loved it, Arthur and his staff were just wonderful and nothing was too much trouble for them. He even gave us some good contacts in El-Nido that proved invaluable expecially over the Christmas period. Thanks Arthur, you will always be recommended by us!!!! Adele & Jason

What an amazing find ! We experienced total relaxation in a beautiful setting - listening to the waves. Our wonderful hosts Arthur & Leonora offered more than we were expecting - warm welcome, comfortable beds, hot water, quiet and effective a/c, good bed linen. The food was excellent - all cooked to order with fresh local ingredients. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners and their staff. I would highly recommend staying here if you want great service, warm hospitality and a really comfortable and relaxing escape !
I can't wait to go back!
Do arrange with Arthur in advance for the hotel to send you transport to the airport to meet you. You will save a lot of hassle and money.
Book transport and trips with Arthur before you arrive. He is a mine of information on the island and has many interesting contacts.

Room Tip: I loved my attic room with quiet and effective A/C - very spacious and airy!

We spent 1 week at Villa Leonora early October. Since the very first moment we realized this was the place we were looking for: a warm welcome by Arthur and Leonora, the friendly owners, a very clean and tidy terrace, and a few meters away, the Sulu sea, with the constant pulse of the waves. Our 15-months daughter had a great time running on the grass all the time (they perfectly maintain it). The place invites to rest, reading, listening to the sea, and of course taking great baths as the beach is just in front. Also the restaurant and the staff are very nice and friendly. Definitely a place to go if you look for complete relaxation!

Villa Leonora is a great place to stay when you like to escape from the hustle and busy life of the city. Its quiet and good located for a daytrip to the underground river, and they also offer activities like Island Hopping and going to beautiful waterfalls. We have experienced a great service from the whole staff and had a very relaxing time. Thank you Arthur and Leonora, for sure we will come back!!!
