Didn't get off to a great start after being put into a room that was NOT the room type we had booked and paid for.
Had purposely booked a twin room after researching options and availability and were shoved in a room at the end with one bed and a small cramped mattress on the floor! maybe ok for a child, but not at all comfortable for an adult, and annoying when had booked a room with TWO beds. Reception then tried to tell us they did not have rooms in the hotel with two beds at all??? (despite all the websites showing photos of such, and a “twin” room being an available booking option online)
This combined with a large number of mosquitoes in the room (which to their credit, the staff did promptly come and offer a tin of bug spray) and plumbing issue that meant you could neither get any shower pressure or even flush the toilet didn't really improve our outlook on things.
Granted, the area is very nice at night when all lit up, however couldn't help but get the feeling it was all about generating revenue and that it was relying solely on the “quirk” factor which to be honest, wasn't really enough to make it worth it.
Considering we stayed in two other properties in the same area which where far nicer at a lesser cost (and provided the room type and bedding as was booked) in hindsight it would have been nicer to spend more time at one of these places rather than wasting our time here.
Hotel Restaurant is also overpriced and the food is pretty bland and average, unfortunate unless you plan on getting a trike into town. Considering the price, it was also the only hotel on our trip that did not include some for of free breakfast.

We we're not able to use the Cable TV during our entire stay. It has no signal due to the issues encountered by their provider.

2. The in-room internet is not fast and reliable.

3. Only few staff (in front desk) are approachable.

4. The food was great and served in large plate. I guess fair enough for their price except the Strawberry crepes.

5. Tricycle rate going to the city proper cost about 80-100 pesos per trip. We spent 600 pesos for the fare alone during our stay.

Room Tip: it was a good inn but for those who are budget conscious I recommend that you stay in hotels that ar...

We stayed for 5 nights making Deep Forest our home base AS WE TRAVELED THROUGHOUT Palawan AND IT WAS fantastic..
Great value, service and they were very helpful with picking use at the airport and dropping us off on time every time.
Clean rooms, comfy beds, good tv and central air.
Best value hotel.
Thanks to everyone for a great stay.

Stayed here for two nights on arrival in Palawan.
Quite quirky entrance and pathway to the rooms with the animal statues here and there but it lent it an innocent charm. Rooms clean and tidy with a nice big bathroom.
Good size pool for the size of the hotel with a nice swim up bar.
Lunch and dinner prices were fine and the portions were huge, enough for 2.
Only downside was its a long walk to town - probably too far at night - but you can get a motor trike for about 100Php each way and there are usually one or two sitting outside the hotel.
Would definitely return here for a couple of days again.

Very good service, and very comfortable beds. The pool was warm instead of the ice cold pools we had in Manila. There is even a free shuttle service to the airport. We stayed for 2 nights, the plan was to visit the unground river. Appearantly you need to book that in advance, which we didn't do. So instead spend a day in the poolbar with rum and coke, was also very good :).

Went there as honeymooners, and you can compare the set up and service to a 5 star hotels in Cambodia. We enjoyed the pool and the rest of services.

Underground river is also cool but you will have to travel by land for 2 hours better have your byahilo medicine with you.

Great deal!!!
