Talk about exclusive! Literally the only resort on Matinloc Island. Speedboat gets you there in about 15mins from the port - a shout out to Ronald, who was our transfer guide, as well as the guide on our Lagoon Island Hopping tour (a must do)
Excellent private beach, with free kayaking and snorkeling available to guests. Rooms were gorgeous.
A couple of things that didn't quite meet criteria (considering you're paying in excess of AUS$700 per night)..Gym facilities are less than bare minimum, only offering dumbbells, a treadmill and a recumbent bike.
Also, the restaurant is a little limiting, sometimes out of stock of certain menu items for days at a time.
Also, NO alcohol is served at this resort or it's surrounds at all. You are however, allowed to buy alcohol at the port in El Nido to bring back with you. They keep it for you in their fridges, and serve it to you in the restaurant when you request it.
The view, the peaceful surroundings and the friendly staff make up for any of the negatives.
Just beautiful.

Very nice resort. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Glad we brought along wine to have with dinner but sure missed having those umbrella drinks at the beach! Some minor mishaps during meals (forgetting to bring napkins, serving pizza dough instead of bread). Otherwise, would go back again.

Difficult to reach the place, no body was waiting for me in the airport, i had ti hire a car to Elnido to arrive at night and found no boat after 5:30 pm. I contacted the hotel but they told me to stay the night in a small hotel in Elnido untill next morning at 8:00 am to get the first boat to take me to the resort. The resort location is ok but only breakfast is included in the booking , no other options for the lunch & dinner you have to pay for other meals. There in no good maintenance in the resort the bath is not draining well, pulps are burned in the room, only 5 chunnels TV working, no mobile phone connection.

Positive:
-Hotel Location: on a remote and beautiful beach, good snorkeling, next to beautiful surrounding islands (Miniloc, Cadlao, Snake Island etc.) available via hotel tours. The place is quiet which was great (not many rooms and no loud music) which was good for relaxing.
-Hotel Activities: snorkeling, kayaking (equipment for free), and tours available (we recommend the sunset tour and the lagoon tour).
-Hotel Room & View: room as in pictures, clean though not "brand new". Very good view, especially during sunrise! You can even do the complementary sunrise hike on the island.
-Hotel Gym: there is a good small gym within the hotel.
-Hotel Internet: Good compared to other locations we've stayed in the Philippines.
-Hotel Transfers: The hotel provides complementary boat transfers from & to el Nido town few times a day.

Negative:
-Hotel Food: whether it is the breakfast or the lunch & diner, the quality of food is average. Simple dishes such as pasta were disappointing. We would have appreciated, given the standard of the hotel, more fresh seafood dishes rather than "a fried seafood section".
-Hotel Staff: most of the staff does not speak english very well, so be patient to re-explain and double check on everything.
-Hotel Spa: The spa was below average. We asked for a couple massage but one of the therapist interrupted our one-hour massage four times and left the room to answer the phone. Seems like therapists are also spa receptionists. The massage rooms are separated by screens and curtains so you hear people coming in and out...
-Alcohol: There is no alcohol available at the hotel, so bring yours that you can buy in El Nido city.
