Although its not on the beach, and the area is somewhat noisy; this is a good place to stay in El Nido. The cottages are very clean, the wife / owner Farah extremely helpful, the pasta is great (husband / owner Luca is Italian), the internet is good, its close enough to everything, its good value, has room safe and you can pay for the room (but not meals) by pay pal. The last point is important as there are no ATMs and few places take credit cards, so this gives you a buffer on calculating how much cash to bring. Other reviews thought the noise was bad, i thought it was not that loud. Book an AC room. the power in town is off 6am to about 2pm, but AC is for me critical in these climes. The fan is not enough.
If you stay here ask Farah for information, not the other friendly staff who unfortunately although they try to be helpful do not seem well informed. Also be carful about your waitress getting your pasta order right as they go by number and i had a mix up. Not a big deal as the pastas are all good, and it was maybe my fault.
The snorkling trip that is most money and furthest away (Island hop C i think) was by far the best snorkling for coral and fish. Less people to ruin the reefs. Trip A , the most popular, was a zoo -- although the islands and scenery and boat ride were excellent. But when there are too many people the snorkling suffers and the isolated lost beaches loose their charm. I got sick from the lunch on Trip A, so did not get to do trips C and D.
For RoRo bus vs van for the ElNido / Puerto Princessa trip, see my Blue lagoon Puerto Princessa review. I think its a toss up.
For eating, do try the pasta at Sei Nazioni, even though the ambience is not as good as on the beach. Other places to eat i liked were the german restaurant on the beach (started with M) and the Art Cafe. This is also a great place for information (all the staff seem well informed and trained) and if you book / eat here you can use your credit card.
For entertainment there is one beach bar ( PokaBar i recall) that played good rege nightly , and Art Cafe seems to have a band weekly.
