“Good location, breakfast, personel, just few small issues”
Reviewed November 12, 2013

Good: perfect location (restaurants, travel agencies, motor bike's rental and etc), smiling and helpful personel (at the reception and at the restaurant), breakfast is rich (freshly baked breads, omlets as you wish, fruits). Bathroom spacious, clean and nice. El Nido town from 6 a.m untill 2 p.m. has no electricity, but the hotel provides electricity 24 hours. It's nice. Thank you.

Bad: wifi didn't work at all for the whole stay (3 nights) and it was important to us. Our room was superior (second floor), but to the street side. It feels like there are no doors or windows. Like you are living on the street. No sound isolation at all. Ear plugs might help. :) Room is small. There is a renovation of the 4th floor at the moment.

And anyway I think this hotel is one of the best after what I saw in el Nido town. So, I would recomend it, just ask for the room to the sea side, if it is possilbe.

Room Tip: Better not to the street side (where the entrance is).

This inn was in the town center close to everything: the small shops, cafes, restaurants, other pension houses & Cadlao Resort. Staff were very friendly & helpful. Breakfast was the main attraction. Would not miss one while staying there. Always fresh fruit, & a variety of b'fast items every day. No decaf coffee, however. Power is shut off from 2:30 pm to 6:00 am, when everyone is either away during the daytime or sleeping at night. This was throughout the entire town. But it was not a problem. Altho' rooms were a little small, they were very clean, & hot water was always to be had. Beach was only 30-40 meters away from the inn.

Room Tip: They are building a 4th floor - we were on the third. Ask for a room with a view of the sea, even if...

Very helpful staff can help you arrange everything without jacking up the prices. Clean room. In the middle of town, but just far enough to be away from the noise of main street.
Good breakfast too.

Power goes off like everywhere else in El Nido during the day, no big deal, you should be out enjoying the islands anyway!

Very accommodating staff. Food was excellent and location very central. Only drawbacks are 4th floor construction and roosters waking you up at 0430. Really, the people make the place enjoyable. Rooms are basic and small but functional.

We stayed at the Ipil Lodge for a number of nights, the room was very comfortable and clean. The staff were always very helpful and friendly and would do anything for you. It is in within walking distance to the restaurants and the beach. It really is a lovely little place to stay and enjoy some of the stunning attractions around northern Palawan.

This hotel is very nice designed, very clean and seems like a real hotel among all the other places you can find in El Nido (even if I'm sure many are great also !)
The hotel is among the few ones that provide hot water showers. This is not necessary, but after a whole day diving, you appreciate this :-)
Breakfast (included) was correct, not crazy but you can really find something you like.
Rooms are great, you have a balcony, big bathroom, ...

Only negative point : we missed the first nice, and even if the hotel was clearly not full (low season : we just had to count the few people at the breakfast to know that maximum 10 rooms were occupied), the manager did not let us modify the booking... "Expedia conditions are like this" --> great manager communication ...
The last day the manager also tried to make us pay 400 PHP to take a shower after the check out, if we checked out in the morning. We finally decided to check out at noon, and were able to take a free shower : this is just funny again..

Other people in the staff were really helpful and kind.
