Beautiful islands and sand bar !! But unfortunately the coral has been destroyed by anchors and selfish tourists that can't swim walking on the coral ! I have written a letter to the local mayor asking for them to protect this and other areas by providing canoes for these people !! It was sad to see this damage and the lack of marine life due to the damage !
Don't bother bringing your goggle and snorkel !

We enjoyed walking along the sandbar with crystal clear and blue water surrounding us. Also, the view from the top of the hill is not to be missed.

It's not very comfortable walking barefoot on the sandbar on this island. However, if you climb/hike to the lookout there is a good view of the snake/vigan island from the top.

Island hopping is a must-to-do in El Nido. Different islands have different characters. Snake Island and the Big Lagoon and Small Lagoon are some of our favorites.

Snake island is quite unique. The sandbar is only visible during low tide and was formed by two opposing currents that met and deposited sand at their meeting point.

What makes our island hopping tour truly enjoyable and memorable is the tour guide (Jumel) from Cadlao Resort. Jumel, our tour guide, is not only very information. He has a good sense of humor and such a good photographer. We are a group of 19... such a big crowd to please but each one has such a great time and lots of pictures to cherish. Thanks to Jumel, who handled my Canon SLR camera like a pro.

a great short day trip though it does get busy at times so if you want some truly great scenes, then try to arrange to go around dusk or dawn and bring a great camera.

In addition, bring a good pare of shoes if you want to get a good shot from the hill top observing station onto snake island
