Thank you for your review and your comments. We would like to respond about the prices we charge, we are cheaper than many of the resorts with poorer accommodation in El Nido, we run our generator any time that there is a power cut which is every day here and that is very expensive. The breakfast is extremely good value and cooked to order unlike many all inclusive deals where the breakfast is on the table when you arrive in the breakfast area and is a very basic meal that is often cold. We never say that we are on the beach, we are not a restaurant and never say that, we are a B&B but we can provide an evening meal if requested and given notice, see the previous review...The town is 5 mins by tricycle and there are many restaurants and bars available which are open until late. We feel, as do the vast majority of our guests that the quality of service, food and cleanliness is well worth the money..
We apologise for the noise but our neighbour decided to do some work on his house which we cannot control....

Dave, Grace, Rachel and the rest of the team at Treetops are some of the kindest people you'll ever meet, and their B&B is topnotch. I won't go into too many details (as many of the other reviews already sum up my thoughts nicely), but definitely stay here and enjoy the feeling of being in your home away from home! A real gem!

Room Tip: Only 2 cottages -- be sure to book in advance!

I did my research in advance in search for the best bed and breakfast in El Nido. The "study" paid off. My Mom, sister and I had the best experience ever and we truly appreciate the graciousness of the owners of Treetops, David and Grace. The owners are also armed with a great household staff who exude politeness at the highest level.

Treetops has two cottages which are very cozy, clean and both have access to the freshest air ever (if you live in Manila, fresh air is very rare). I don't really like A/C so the fan(s) provided in the room is fine with me. Since the cottages are surrounded with fruit and non-fruit bearing trees, make sure to close your door so the insects wouldn't go inside your room. If one or two find its way in, there's an insect repellant found on one of the shelves in the room.

Both David and Grace are very good in the kitchen so before heading out to do your water activities, stuff yourself during breakfast. However, advance notice is needed. They offer traditional Filipino breakfast and continental. Grace can also hook you up with a local boatman who will help you with island hopping. The boatman will literally pick you up from Treetops.

There are so many good things to say about Treetops, but this space is not enough. I will definitely recommend this place to my friends.

My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights with our 2 year old during our trip around Palawan.

We were happy to take a gamble on a place without A/C (I do love my AC) because it was outside of the main touristy area of El Nido (we don't feel like hanging with backpackers) and according to previous reviews, had friendly and attentive owners.

This place doesn't disappoint.
Believe everything positive you read about this place and its owners.

From the moment you arrive, Grace and David welcome you like family into their home. Ever friendly, ever helpful and always up for a chat about whatever, they truly make you feel at home in their little oasis.

There are only 2 cottages, meaning this spot is idyllically serene. The cottages are simple and cosy with a comfy bed and are fan cooled. When the rooms are made up daily, all your clothes will be folded (you know the one's you just throw on the floor) and the room will be meticulously decorated with a selection of wild flowers. Set on the shoreline (not swimming beach) the property is lush, green and covered in various plants and trees. The only noise is that of nature.

However the seclusion on site doesn't make you isolated by any means. A five-ten minute tricycle ride (with their driver on call) gets you to El Nido beach and its restaurants etc. A five minute ride in the other direction, gets you to the path of one of my favourite beaches (see my separate review of Marimegmeg Beach).

Breakfast is available daily and is enjoyed on the top mezzanine level of the main house, which overlooks the bay and islands. The food is freshly prepared in front of you by David who is somewhat of a self-trained chef. Everything we ate here was delicious, including the pancakes - yummo.
Dinner can be arranged with advanced notice, which we took advantage of one evening. We simply agreed to eat Indian food and were presented with a delicious curry, biryani accompanied by homemade raita and mango chutney. Outstanding.

But back to what makes the stay so worthwhile and memorable. Definitely the hosts.
As a couple travelling with a toddler, we are probably more demanding than most. But nothing was too much or too difficult for them. Everything from warming milk to organising a private boat and boatman for island hopping (which picks you up from the water in front of the property).

All in all, a truly wonderful stay with people that will be hard to forget.

Thank you David and Grace for putting up with us. If you read this, we truly thank you for all your help and friendship during our stay. Till next time, best wishes.

Lera, David and Jacob.

Not far away from El Nido town, the cottages are just perfect, and with a nice view to the sea. The owners did their best to make my short stay idilleous. Breakfast is awailable at a small extra cost, but it is worth. I also had my dinner there the last night, and the food was delicious, just as the best restaurant in town.

My boyfriend and I, we spent almost 3 weeks at Treetops and we loved the homely atmosphere and the quiet surroundings of the guesthouse in Corong, Corong.
The location is about 10-15 minutes to El Nido town by tricycle but for us it was perfect. If you do not like the noisiness and small streets in town you will definitely enjoy the tranquility at Corong Corong beach. The guesthouse offers stunning views because it is directly at the waterfront, however if you are looking for a nice beach to sunbath and swim it is recommendable to walk to about 20 minutes to the nearest beach (the path is a little bit rocky indeed - but worth it).

Treetops has only about 3 bamboo-style huts which are sourrounded by a beautiful garden which makes it very cozy. You sometimes feel like sleeping in the "jungle" because you can hear all those animals and the water at night which makes it a really nice experience. We loved it that much that we came back to Treetops after a few nights. David and Grace were so kind to offer us the bigger bungalow where Grace's sister usually lives in. All of the rooms were spotless and cleaned daily - not to mention the beautiful flowers and decorations that the staff prepared every day in our room.

The breakfast at Treetops was very good too. And if you compare it to the food in town it is a good cost-benefit solution. Especially the view from the balcony in the mornings while having a delicious omelette or fruit salad is simply great. We also had dinner at treetops a few times. Even though they do not really have a restaurant, the two like to cook (and their meals are wonderful) and prepared good food for us after talking to them about our preferences. We can very much recommend their Thai Currys ;)

All in all, our stay was perfect (apart from the frequent electricity breakdowns - which is a general problem in whole El Nido). Of course Grace's and David's hospitality made our stay even better and we often think back to the great conversations we had with them!

We had previously stayed in ElNido and knew axactly what we wanted/expected and Treetops didn't dissappoint.

We spent 5 nights here in March and it was a pleasurable oasis of calm and tranquility. Grace and David's attention to detail and the little extras that they put in place are a pleasant surprise in an area that is quickly becoming overrun with backpacker style accommodation. Such things as; your cottage being cleaned within an inch of its existance everyday, fresh clean sheets, flowers, lavender pillow spray, lavender handwash, insect spray...the list of 'nice touches' is endless.

But the thing that shines through is the hospitality and sincerity of all the staff, which is being lead by Grace and David. Nothing is too much trouble and thoughfulness is the order of the day.

Do have Dave's breakfast and try an evening meal, which are prepared and created to rival any top notch restaurant.

We will cherish our time at Treetops with Grace and Dave and hope to return soon and perhaps stay forever!!??
