“small quiet wonderful (misrepresented) place”
Reviewed April 6, 2013

This place was perfect for us: on the beach, friendly helpful staff, a pool to relax by, organizing trips to island hop. No pressure, but all available. Breakfast was simple, but the place seemed to be incredibly short staffed during the time we were there (April 1-4, 2013). We enjoy simple, and that is what we got with this stay. 10,000 P for three nights for an upstairs room with balcony. A few of the amenities are indeed in need of repair, but overall a fine stay. Annoyances were the bedside lamps with no outlet to plug them in to, long wait at the restaurant, and the misleading advertising on their website. This place is small, basic, cozy and "El Nido" all the way. In addition to the must sees of the island hopping tours, in town proper are shops and markets with interesting characters. Remember that 'taxi' means tricycle, but they are plentiful and come with wonderful drivers. Our experience in El Nido was grand, and I would upgrade this place to a 4 as soon as they adjust their website to reflect the great place that they do have.

For over 5000,- pesos pr night for a family room, you'd expect a bit more, but when we arrived, aircon + lights weren't working, the shower head was falling off and a covered up wall with board and nails sticking out were one of the first things I noticed when I entered the room. In addition, there was a hole in the screened window in the bathroom where I discovered some mosquitos coming in through there. I wish they maintained their rooms as well as they maintain their outdoor/garden area, because they have a really nice outdoor area where we ate breakfast everyday. In fairness, when we complained about the lights and aircon, they took care of it. The service was good...the ladies at the front desk were very nice and helpful and the view from our terrace was very nice. It's a ways off from the town proper, so be prepared to pay a bit for tricycle. We didnt mind this, however, because it was away from the husle and bustle of the town. I just wish we got a better quality room for the price we paid, that's all.

The resort is basic but nice and clean. I liked the stunning view on the sea and islands, wooden furniture and cosy small restaurant - the only place where wifi works. It is a short ride by taxi to the town.

They arrange tours on islands and it's the best thing to do there. I strongly recommend you to go to the islands for swimming, snorkeling and very beautiful scenery.

It's quite simple hotel, of course, with basic small rooms and without internet it the room.
They have wi-fi in the restaurant, but it closed in evening time.
The view on the sea is excellent, and it's easy to take taxi and go to the main town.
Just in the hotel you can buy very picturesque tours along islands and so on - I strongly recommend you to do that (there are 4 or 5 tours there).
The food in restaurant is simple but tasty enough.
In the day time you can sit in front of the hotel in small garden and look into sea's horizon

I was offered a discount card promo for Elnido Four Seasons Resort way back in 2010. It was mentioned that i had to call for confirmation of any bookings to be made and so i did only to find out that the resort was "fully booked for the date" i specified. The following week i tried to call again for another 'date' but was told i cannot be accommodated for the 'same' reason above. Sad to say i had to proceed with my trip to El Nido irrespective of the unavailability of Elnido Four Seasons Resort. Upon reaching El Nido, Palawan on march 22, 2010, i went to Four Seasons Resort and inquired about availability of room for two pax, The resort was not fully booked !! I presented the promo card but was told i should have "made earlier call for reservation"; it was not honored :(
We stayed in Inatula Beach Cottages instead; a much better place to stay in El Nido Palawan

Well, I just got back from my trip to this resort and while I understand it's off season (Sep), it doesn't mean that our stay should have off service.

First, my own fault for not knowing the ride from Puerto Princesa to El Nido was 6hrs...so unexpected disomfort there. The ride wouldn't have so terrible if the road was paved the whole way but the last 2hrs of the trip are along an EXTREMELY bumpy road making it impossible to relax at all. When we finally got to the hotel, we had to wander around for about 15 min hoping someone would help us since it was already after midnight and no one was manning the desk despite knowing our approximate arrival time.

The place was clearly in state of repair but I was hoping it looked a little better in the daylight. (It didn't)

The girl who finally comes to help us, lets us into our room where the sheets hadn't been washed or cleaned recently as indicated by the stale musty smell and the water from the sink came out brown for a few min from lack of use. To top it off, the water heater didn't work so we just gritted through a cold shower and settled in for an uncomfortable night.
Breakfast the next morning was decent - and included w our package - so that was nice. Transportation to and from island hopping was easy and when we returned to ask about the water heater that night - they had simply forgotten to turn on the breaker for us. Slightly aggravating.

Basically, the best part of our stay here was not being at the hotel. If you just want simple accomodations with anok breakfast then this place is fine. Just don't be fooled by the pictures on their website. I should mention as an afterthough that the staff was friendly but I would probably stay someplace closer to town next time.
