its a very good place, very hospitable/welcoming environment with dancing and singing staff.
Very good food, but not a very good bartender.
the place is still developing when we came here for our trip. but then they said that its already owned by Ayala, so we are expecting something more. its a boring place if your not doing any activity. its expensive and somehow and big ripped off.. thanks to the staff that made our stay very nice... specially to Ms. Lea and some spa girls. which are lack of training, but very good!!! i love the sharks under our cottage.

Room Tip: check out the COST!

We thoroughly enjoyed our two weeks experience on Apulit island, from the friendly welcome to the tearful farewell.

No need to bring swimming equipment as you can borrow everything for your entire stay - life vests, masks, snorkel and fins are all provided. During snorkelling or any other ocean activity we were always assisted by the Activity Staff led by Angel, Eddie, Arjon & Hiro who made sure we were safe while enjoying the fantastic marine life around the local region.

Many thanks to Mr Franck the Manager, and the food & beverage staff Nikko, Mario, Mardy, April, Grace, Patrick & Ruel to name just a few.

The food was great with such a fabulous variety, we were never bored and Chef Denver mad sure we were always happy and the a special candlelit dinner inside an open hut on the beach to celebrate my wife’s 62nd birthday was awesome, with our own special waiter, Ian.

No need to buy hats, as the staff make you a biodegradable hat out of leaves, while you’re there.

We spent many mornings just by the house reef diving and feeding the fish, there was such a great variety including a big Moray eel, Clown fish, giant clams, a crocodile fish, Damsel fish, resident black tip reef sharks about 2ft long and even greater varieties whilst snorkelling the various reefs around Apulit.

There were many highlights we remember-
- a picnic lunch on West beach after snorkelling the close in reef, where the staff set up a picnic table overlooking the bay complete with silverware, linen napkins etc. just for us.
- snorkelling trips to Isle Blanca and Lapos Reef
- nature walks around the island and learning about the local ecology with Marvic
- a trip to Tay Tay town on the main Palawan Island
- and the newly built pool which was great to relax by and sometimes catch up on a little sleep.

We had a great experience and fond memories of a fabulous holiday on the island, we would love to return again.

I had just stayed at it's sister property Miniloc Resort, which I liked better. I stayed at Apulit for 3 nights and found they have some noise issues with their generators or where they house their machinery. It was so loud on the hillside that I could hear it in my room with the windows closed. It spoils the feeling of being in paradise. This resort, part of El Nido Resorts, doesn't have the variety of reefs for snorkeling as some of the other islands, although they do have a nice house reef. The buffet food choices were good. Although I don't eat a lot of fish or meat I had plenty of choice for alternatives. The staff were all very nice, friendly, and helpful, but they aren't quite up to the same level as the Miniloc staff. They also have a problem with the tide washing over the cement dock and it makes it very slippery. One woman fell and had a bad toe injury. The bungalows over the water are nicer than the Miniloc rooms, but for bigger people the bathroom space might be a problem. The infinity pool is very nice and clean, but the ceramic tiles around it are slippery.

Excellent location on it's own Limestone Island with lagoon with mirror-flat water, soft sand beach. Sunsets were incredible (only Boracay had better). All the rooms are over the water with the smooth bay in-front, looking to the south-west and shear limestone cliffs behind you. All the cottages are very private and except for kayakers there is no way to see into your room. Great pool and beach with plenty of chairs - maybe it just seemed that way because it seemed there were hardly any people there. You felt like you had the island to yourself. Food was very good and the staff was wonderful. Drinks were reasonably priced (120 Php). Pool table and ping pong if you wanted to "exert" yourself. Kayaks, windsurf boards, snorkel equipment were available to everyone for free. The only thing a little disappointing was the diving. Had wonderful coral but no large fish. So one day of diving would let you see about everything. To make up for it the diving was rediculously cheap - only 2000 Php per dive. It may be an adventure to get to - either take the limited space on the ITI flight from Manila or fly to Puerto princess and take the 3 hour van ride to Taytay. Then take the 50 minute slow boat to the resort. But it is worth it.

Room Tip: If you get the standard water villa, ask for rooms above 41 to get a view of the sunset. Otherwise...

My partner, sister and I stayed in a Deluxe Water Cottage for 3 nights, we were on the top floor with my sister staying on the bottom floor. The room was very nice with a great view from our windows and balcony.

It rained on our first full day at Apulit which was a bit disappointing, but snorkeling and sea kayaking were still good, you're going to get wet anyway :)

The next day the weather cleared up and we took advantage of the hiking on the island and a snorkeling trip out to Isla Blanca. Both activities were a lot of fun and well worth the time invested.

The buffet meals were good, and the service was excellent. The massages are good value and relaxing on the beach with a cocktail is highly recommended.

We really enjoyed our stay at Apulit, if you're looking for a relaxing getaway, you've found the right place.

Everything good that is said about AIR are true.

Transportation to Apulit Island is already an adventure.

We traveled as a family with 2 kids. Guests do not have to bring swimming equipments. You can borrow them the entire stay. Life vests for kids, masks, snorkels, fins are provided.
No need to buy hats too. The Apulit staffs can make you a biodegradable hat out of leaves.

It is my 3 yr old's first time to "snorkel". What a delight to be able witness that. During snorkeling or any ocean activity we were always assisted by Activitiy Staffs making sure we are safe while enjoying the fantastic marine life in Apulit. Many thanks to Mario, Eddie, Arjon. These guys are the best!

The resort's house reef is great for fish feeding. We spend 2 whole mornings just by the house reef. Variety of fishes and we saw 3 big white eels with spots. Clown fish, giant clams, needle fish etc.

Guys try picnic by west beach. We have the whole beach to ourselves and the resort set up a picnic table complete with silver wares just for us. Amazing experinece!!!

We missed candle lit dinner inside North Cave. I bet that would be an experience also.
Well there is always next time.

They built a new infinity pool now and it is heated too.

Would definitely come back.

We went there for a weekend rest and that's exactly what we got. Flight out of Manila was on time at 730am - small plane but smooth flight - the scenery going to Palawan was a such a marvelous God creation - never experience to be flying that low where in one can see all the major islands such a Mindiro - Coron ....

We landed safely after around 1.5 hours in a very small airport from nowhere in Tatay Palawan - took a jeepney ride out of the mangrove and to our delight wow such a beautiful scene - open waters and small islands. We finally arrived at Apulit around 10:30 am - the resort manager - Frank was there to greet us (that was a first for me) not bad. Then we were already allowed to check in - we were given a water cottage since there are 3 of us.

Nice room - 2 single beds and 1 king size bed at the 2nd floor - we also have a balcony and a stairs going directly to the waters (this I can't wait to explore). The package we got is full board - so we took our lunch - quite a disappointment since not much seafood offering considering we are on an island.

After lunch - Angel already gave us our agreed set of activity - first stop that afternoon was island hopping with snorkeling - pretty cool (all gear provided) - after that we tried the pool - my my infinity pool (brand new and warm water - this more like it) - so relaxing. Dinner that night was better than lunch but nothing special.

The next day we scheduled an early fish feeding at the island's port - pretty amazing - unfortunately a lot of jelly fish suddenly came from nowhere so we we force to stop and just do our next thing which is cave exploration. This I am not looking forward to since I hate cave - but our guide Mario show us some pretty interesting caves - after that snorkeling time again - oh my this is a Must - but we need to cut it short since the wave is getting wild.

On our last day we decided to stay in our cottage and enjoy some quite morning - this is what I meant by relaxing ....

Room Tip: For couple choose the room from the east side - for family with kids water cottage will be advisable...
