“Place To See & Relax While In Puerto Galera”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 8, 2012

While staying and diving in Puerto Galera, we were able to take some time off to visit this waterfall. It is located about 30 minute ride from the town and best go there by jeepy ride. The waterfall is scenic and there is pool below the bridge allowing travelers to cool down and relax in. There is a small entry fee to the pool area. Due to our diving schedules, we were not able to actually use the pools but the scenery is well worth the ride. Lots of photographic opportunity here and opportunity to recharge your soul.

“Quick visit unless you swim”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 5, 2012

We went to Tamaraw Falls this past weekend and were really impressed by it - the pictures don't do it justice. They start as high up as you can see and continue beyond the swimming area as far as you can see.

Make sure you also stop on the road on the other side of the bend so that you can get a picture of the entire falls - both above and below the road. We were only able to stop right there at the falls and consequently all our pictures are looking up or looking down. I have the one picture in my mind though of the whole thing and it's beautiful!

Also keep in mind that if you just want to see the falls, it's free and a short visit. If you want to swim, there is a fee and you could stay as long as you wanted. I didn't want to swim, so I've filled out this review from that perspective.

“Cool Waterfall”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 5, 2012

a little up into teh mountains is tamaraw falls. A littel hard to get to as teh street is sometime unpaved, but worth teh trip. Impressive fall, no access to swimming or anything like that, and some very friendly souvenier vendors. Easily worth the couple of hours round-trip by Jeepney or rented motorcycle.

“Most Accessible Waterfalls”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 4, 2012

I've been to many places and have seen beautiful waterfalls but no one comes closer to Tamaraw Waterfalls when it comes to accessibility. This waterfalls, emptying its waters on a man-made pool beneath the bridge connecting the highway between the municipalities of Puerto Galera and San Teodoro, is so close to the road one can actually gets wet by mists of waters from the falls. You will enjoy the view and the cold water of the 2 man-made pools below.
You can get there by riding a jeepney or PuV plying the Calapan City-Puerto Galera route or better still drive your own vehicle to make stop-over at the falls. Hired scooters and jeepneys for group tours are available at Puerto Galera as well.
