The place is beautiful keeping the villains occupying this place aside. As our driver told us, they make his tyres flat and vandalize the car if he drives there, I was apparently obliged to take these vandals' jeepney to go up. Police is also incompetent as these gangs also owns them. Best is to either find a courageous driver or drive a rental car. Roads fro Manila to here is not at all difficult.

a beautiful place and wonderful people. banaue ifugao is a place where you see the famous rice terraces called the banaue terraces located in the north of philippines. this was declared as UNESCO world heritage sight in 1995. in here you can do trekking to banaue viewpoint, pula village, cambulo village, batad village and bangaan village, hapao rice terraces, you can either do 1-2-3-4 days trekk but a local tourguide must be needed.

Amazing rice terraces and history! Had a gruelling walk to see Tappiya Falls, down through rice terraces ( not recommended for people with vertigo) and climbed up steps to go around another mountain just to see this amazing waterfall! It was worth the challenge seeing the huge hidden waterfalls, absorbing its strength and energy! We rested for an hour, a couple swam but trust me, it was freezing cold at this time of the year! Was refreshing to walk on the puddles, and would recommend to bring flip flops or water diving shoes as it is very slippery with sharp rocks .We had to walk back again through the rice terraces and ended up with a home cook lunch in one of the cafes over looking the terraces. We were welcomed with a cold beer and stir fry vegetable noodles !

we came from Campula village and discover the amazing place from the trail, it s just stunning, there is less plastic than other village, there is something genuine and roots, there is another access via the main room from Banaoue , you can spend 2 full day here, i advice you to take a local guide, there is some hidden gems and some trails are really hard! but it s worth it, i advice you to go to Patad , you ll have an other amazing view
it s magical !

We hiked through the rice terraces for two days and this was an amazing trip. The views were so amazing. We got to cool off a few times in cold waterfalls too.

Can't wait to visit again. I'd highly recommend Jhun as a tour guide. Find his Facebook page by searching Facebook for @banauetreks.
