“Lovely place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 20, 2013

We used Banaue as a base to go on some treks in the Ifugao rice terraces. And whilst you can find more impressive rice terraces and scenery further afield in Batad, the rice terraces in Banaue are not to be sniffed at. There are lots of lovely walks you can do from town and we really enjoyed our stay here.

“Another Wonder of the world!”

As a world traveler.....the Banaue rice terraces should not be missed!
This could be considered one of the last unspoiled trekking escapes!

“It is a wonder!”

Breathtaking views, mind resting trekking in the terraces. To think this fabulous location (It is a world wonder) may loose its UNESCO World Heritage classification for lack of maintenance is a shame for the Filipino authorities.

“A must see”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 9, 2013

Hard to get to, but definitely worth seeing. We used Cordillera Expeditions as our guide and I highly recommend them. Here's a tip - do a lot of stairmaster before you go and it's a lot of steps

“Not batad terraces, due to bad development.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 8, 2013

Banaue has become such an ugly place due to the terrible development. If you explore the surrounding, you'll find some amazing spots but this development must stop!
