I spent three nights here, and loved every minute if it.

The service was amazing, from arrival to departure. Great food, friendly staff and sleeping comfortably in a traditional Ifugao cottage....who could ask for anything more?!

Well there is more, not only were the staff friendly they were also very helpful. The highlight of my stay was the walk through the Hapao and Hungduan rice terraces they helped to organise.

The best thing about all this was the price. Not the cheapest accommodation in Banue, but I doubt you would find better value for money anywhere in the world for what is on offer here. If I ever get the chance to visit the Philippines again I would return to this special place in a heartbeat

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Native Village for 3 nights at the beginning of December and had a wonderful stay. It is 9 km outside of Banaue - so it's calm, clean and peaceful and definitely the right decision in terms of location. The hut which we stayed in was lovely and cosy and clean. The communcal "living room" which is where we ate and hung out when we got back from our hikes was such a nice place in which to spend time - especially with the two house dogs. The food here really was fantastic - some of the best we had on our trip to the Philippines, and all home-cooked to order by the lovely Native Village girls. The Native Village also has some fantastic guides and drivers too - Joel drove us everywhere and was a wealth of knowledge about the local area and customs. This was such a lovely place to spend a few days in. we really can't recommend it highly enough.

We booked five cottages for our trip and we were completely floored by the views, the feel of authenticity of the huts, and most of all by the hospitality that Filipinos are so well known for. The staff was very warm and accomodating. They catered to our every need, and for a party of 15plus, that is one mean feat! This place is truly a gem in the midst of the majestically carved mountains.

Native Village Inn is a beautiful place.
The staff that works there are so nice and friendly.
The place is really clean and native.
We slept like babies
The food is GREAT.
The View is breath taking.
If you want to go a place to get peace and quite this is the right place.

The cottages is simple with one mattress on the floor and the shower and toilets are for sharing, but everything is clean.
The road going to Native Village Inn is really bad and I will not recommend to drive your own car, take a trice or a jeepny. The hotel is able to pick you up in Banue.

The place is a nice retreat from the urban world. The moment we drove up to the hotel, it was like entering another world. The views from the hotel itself is breath taking, it faces the Hapao Rice Terraces which in itself makes it just amazing. We could just sit there for hours taking in the views of the surrounding mountains and views.

They have little gazebos around the area with excellent views. The cozy Ifugao based huts/cottages where we slept made it even more rustic and enjoyable. The huts and toilets are really well maintained and clean despite the fact that the toilets are shared makes it just great. Thankfully they had modern plumbing, despite the fact that sometimes the water pressure is a bit weak which should be expected at such a very remote area.

Anyone who wants to enjoy the view, relax, vegetate or just simply want to take in the mountains should definitely stay here. The only thing was the food was a bit more expensive than the average in the area, but I guess you can't put a price for convenience and the beautiful surroundings.

Wooden houses in the hotel are designed as local Ifugao houses. You can feel better their spirit.
The view is gorgeous. Native Village Inn is situated on the top of the Hapao rice terraces. Staff always ask if you want to eat in a terrace with a view.
You will be warmly treated with hospitality and smile. (We've arrived very late to Banaue and anyway have been transfered to the hotel and offered meal despite the kitchen rules).
Mr Graham supported as on the way to Native Village inn with all the required information on how to get there from Cauayan.

The location has it pluses (view, close to Hapao) and minuses it is 9 km from Banaue (shops, cages, Batad) I'm not sure I should write it as a minus as it is the authentic idea of the hotel but you should be aware of:
You won't get private toilet/comfort room and shower roon as it not like locals have. You are offered to use 2 common showers and 2 common toilets.

I would definitely like to get back to this hotel and recommend to all travelers who likes to feel local cultures.

If you are looking for a wonderfull place in the middle of the ricefields you can stop seachinig! This is the place to be. A few kilometers away from the centre of Banaue you will find this little paradise, overlooking the most beautifull ricefields. You will sleep in a original cottage wich is clean and very romantic. You will have your breakfast at one of the vieuwingpoints overlooking the wonderfull surroundings. After breakfast you can hike the ricefields with one of the tourgides you can find in the hotel. Dinner is fresh made and delicious. We stayed at this wonderfull place for 3 nights and enjoyed every minute of it. The staff is helpfull and friendly and the boss helps you likes he is your best friend. A place I hope to return sometime. Enjoy your holiday!
