“Great Relaxing Place”

We stay at this hotel every time we go to Yogyakarta--every other year. It is absolutely lovely--you really do have a garden view from every room. The staff is super friendly and it is close to all the Yogya attractions. It is not your "modern/highrise" hotel---retains the charm and beauty of Java.

Great value. Hope to come often.

It was one of the best hotels we had in Indonesia and in Asia in general. The territory is simply beautiful, with lush greenery and small waterfalls, the pool is on the small side but very nice. The rooms are large and clean, with excellent beds and a great balcony/terrace. Good shower, good wi-fi; a lot of nice little touches, like an umbrella in the room or a drying rack for your swimwear. It is a bit far from the centre but transportation is plentiful and there are many restaurants in the area. Receptionists speak English; they can help you hire a car for a day of sightseeing at the same prices they have at the tourist office. Breakfast could use a little variety but that's the only drawback.

On arrival to this hotel we were checked in and given our room. We went through the garden and offered a room to the left of the reception area. We decided the room was not for us due to the dark and dismal interior. The wardrobe had fablon on the shelves and the bathroom needed an update. A bit dismal and certainly not what we were expecting.
We decided to upgrade to a room around the pool which was much better. Bright, large, and with a huge tv. It had a little patio area where you could sit after a days temple-ing Pool could have been cleaner as the sides looked in need of a scrape to remove accumulated muck.
Breakfast was not great with a choice of lukewarm items in pots on the buffet table. Omlettes when asked for were small and the restaurant staff seemed to be needing some training in customer care.
We had dinner one night and it was pretty dire with soggy chips and lacking any atmosphere.
Reastaurants around the hotel were numerous once we found where they were but they were a walk away.
We were only there 2 nights and would hesitate to recommend it to others.

Room Tip: Upgrade to poolside room they are definately much better

Booked here for 3 nights and extended to 5 with my boyfriend. Heaps of character with a fabulous design and the most beautiful surrounding garden we've seen in Indonesia. Even nicer garden than over the road at the more expensive boutique option where they serve breakfast. Very private setting and a short walk to many lovely restaurants. Hani's was our favourite, best meal of the trip.. Overall,a hidden gem.

We enjoyed the quiet location just at the back of a noisy main street. Restaurants were nearby. The bathromm was not really clean, so I complained and they came imediately and cleaned it thoroughly. The room, with a big balcony was situated to the pool, surrounded with a lot of plants and trees.

We happened upon this place after their sister guest house Delta was full. As we are on a budget it was more expensive than we hoped for but then it is rather nice The reception staff are warm and helpful. It is situated at the end of a cul de sac just on the next road tpo Jalan Prawitoraman. For us this was perfect as we did not have any traffic noise but felt right in the centre of things with lots of shops, restaurants etc within 5 minutes walk. Very convenient. You will hear the losque. It did not bother me but my husband wore his ear plugs.

The gardens are beautiful and pool lovely. As there are a lot of water features you need repellant at noght but the mossies did not cause us too many bites. The rooms are pretty spacious, slightly dated decor. Big flat screen TV. Desk and chair. Free Wifi so good to sit in comfort and plan the next steps. The bathroom was not to good- I think years of insufficient cleaning has built up. The shower curtain was beyond mouldy (and I'm really not fussy) but credit due, after asking a couple of times they replaced it with a new one.

Breakfast is adequate, the usual eggs toast juice and some local selection which I enjoyed. Give dinner a miss though as the food is slow and bland. Much better restaurants nearby.

All in all if you have 60 dollars a night to spend I think it is a good spot, but room for improvement.
