In Yogyakarta, there are a lot of restaurant and small warung / stall offering this traditional javanese soup or so called soto.the ingredients also vary from chicken to beef and for sure intestine. They have 2 different broth as well "bening" or without coconut milk and the other with coconut milk. This Soto restaurant is bit out off town and they located between the railways and padi field. In morning time its very busy with people breakfast , yes javanese breakfast maybe too heavy for westerner because the broth is often too thick and creamy but anyway this soto place is full in the breakfast time and in the lunch time not so many people ;) the side dish is vary from salted eggs,fried chicken,fish chips to tempe ( soya bean cake).
