“Visit the Graves of Mataram Kings”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 4, 2013

You get to wear traditional Javanese clothing. This is the burial site for the Kings of the Mataram. Many people do a pilgrimage to this site. Photographs were not allowed in the graveyard.

“Would be good if you have the money to spend”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 28, 2013

There are plenty of shops selling goods made of silver. You may see how they make the item if you happen to be there during their working hours.

This place is approx 30 minutes from Malioboro.

“for your silver taste”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 23, 2013

we're a bit early but the shop is open. it usually open at 9 am local time. i was interested in the making of the silver but unfortunately the guys are not in yet. some of them are doing preparation. but the shop that we went is the biggest shop in town and the workshop is quite tidy. the displays are gorgeous! the prices are quite reasonable.

“Quite a let down”

Many silversmiths around this area. However, the silver works are overly-priced and you really need to bargain to make your purchases worthwhile.
