Walking in Keraton Jogja, you must have a tour guide. You can travel around keraton and take a picture. Dont forget tu buy some Batik Tulis from batik gallery near the keraton ( ask to tour guide ), price are not expensive but the batik are great.

So many historical stories & great places inside the Kraton and feels magic. The tour guide is lovely. Not only tells us the histories but also willing to take picture for us. Dont forget to visit Museum Kereta.

My kids can see, that there is a sultan's house and have a lot of history inside it. The stuff is an old stuff that you never seen before outside the Kraton

Nothing really interesting there. If you have time, why not:
Mostly pictures and barely interesting objects, without much information.
Waterpalace is however much better.

The architecture is unique. The in house guide did a wonderful job of explaining in details the various artefacts.
The charge of bringing in a camera should be waived.
The peddlers selling their wares at the entrance and exit is a nuisance. They should be allotted a space further from the palace.
