“Lovely restaurant- shame about the food!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 13, 2014

As vegetarians we really wanted this restaurant food to be delicious, but after 2 visits and ordering several different dishes we concluded it wasn't really that good. Curries were bland and watery and not spicy..such a disappointment.
However, I would still give this restaurant an amazing review because of the atmosphere at night and the lovely shop with really inexpensive gifts and the service. (our children were playing with toys they have there and they got a rug for them to sit on the grass as well as an extra table for food.
Sadly maybe, they make the food a bit bland for tourists??
The gardens are so beautiful- so worth going just for the atmosphere.

“Amazing experience”

We are vegetarians and we loved this place. Ambience alone is worth 5 stars and then a $20 bill for loads of great food and drink helps.

“Delicious Vegetarian Food in Jogja”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 8, 2014

We loved this place so much, we went back again the next night! The first night, we arrived around 8pm, and all of the tables were taken, but on the second night we were able to get a table right away. It’s worth making a reservation if you are really keen to eat here. The restaurant is placed around a garden area, and so you can never see more than three or four tables for wherever you’re sitting. Everything is cleaned and made with boiled water so there is no need to worry if you are a traveler with a sensitive stomach. We loved the Milas Salad with apples and cashews, and the corn burger was yummy! There is such a wide range of dishes to try, including western and Indonesian cuisines. The restaurant also offers many different types of traditional Indonesian drinks. I think you could visit many times each week and never get bored! Plus the prices are really affordable, just a touch above warung prices. There is also a cute little gift shop and an international library for adults and kids, worth checking out if you are waiting for a table.

“Nice atmosphere”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 4, 2014 via mobile

We had dinner at Milas this week for a second time (in two years). The atmosphere is very refreshing, set in a garden, a nice green concept, but we felt the food was a little disappointing this time. The eggplant dish was delicious but the tahu/tofu in a tomato sauce was neither east nor west. Perhaps it was a bad choice and a bad combination of dishes but that should not be an excuse. We still think its a lovely place and we hope to report better next time.

We're so glad we found this place and ate there twice! Beautiful setting, wonderful food, very fair prices, and a great gift shop, too. Don't miss it!
