Despite its central location, Dusun Yogja offers a haven from Yogjakarta’s sometimes stressful downtown. The lush vegetation, koi pond, and open bistro hide the little nooks and crannies where guests can sit and relax away from the pool. The rooms themselves are warm and pleasantly decorated, all the while featuring modern amenities such as sufficient global electric plugs to recharge all devices. The rooms bear a strong imprint of Yogja’s artistic flair, from the units’ carved wooden doors to the outdoor bathroom. The staff is meticulous in its cleaning and quite responsive to requests (we couldn’t understand how to work the hair dryer). This hotel offers a breath of professional authenticity that will put to shame any competitor belonging to a chain.

Located not too far from the airport, with busy streets surrounding it, I was amazed at just how quiet the place was once you've entered the compound proper. The staff were all professional and polite, always accommodating to our requests and we never felt unwelcomed. We spent hours outdoors, in the courtyard or at the restaurant just drinking coffee and chatting. The restaurant also served good food, a tad pricey considering the location but not expensive by any means.

Loved, loved, loved this place. Greeting with cold drinks and cool towels, spacious rooms around the pool which was stunning. Wished I could've stayed longer. VERY reasonably priced. Great little bakery and coffee shop right across the street and a grocery store near by. Had one dinner and one breakfast there and it was all delicious with plenty of Western variety if wanted. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

First let me encourage you to hire Ketuk (likely spelled incorrectly) who is the tuk tuk scooter driver who may be sitting outside the hotel waiting for a job.  The carrier has red metal and wheel covers are white and blue.  He's super nice and fares are so low I don't know how anyone survives.

I would encourage you to get a 2nd floor room as they have balconies which affords a bit of outdoor privacy. They have a sort of day bed/lounge overlooking the lush pool area.  The room is a bit dark because of the overhanging roof line which helps keep room cool.  Who am I kidding; it's really hot here but the roof surely keeps the blazing sun away.  And thank goodness the AC was very good and does not turn off when you remove the key from its slot.

Wi-Fi has been the best so far and we're at the end of a 3 month trip.

Breakfast was not to my taste but there are a variety of choices. Rice porridge or  soup with a variety of condiments, fried savory items, cold cereal, fruit (not particularly ripe or sweet enough), and a few cut up salad toppings. Sliced bread, some sweet bread and some cake.

Pool is pretty large and perfect temperature. Easy to get in but still cool and refreshing.  Be careful getting in/out on ladder as it's slippery.

Staff was very courteous and helpful. They of course arrange cars but also helped us plan daily activities with venue schedules.  We didn't do our research very well and they helped us have a good time.

Very convenient is the large Indomart supermarket. Walk out of hotel, turn right and walk for about 30 seconds - it's on the right at the corner.

The Jogja Village Inn is a little piece of paradise in the heart of a busy and bustling city.

This place is peaceful and tranquil making it easy to relax by the amazing salt water pool, in the Secang bistro or the well-appointed rooms.

We loved that the rooms had a traditional Javanese feeling to them. The balcony on the upstairs rooms was well appreciated.

The food was well priced and great quality. My kids loved there stay here and the big pool hit the spot after a long day exploring Yogjakarta
