I choose this hotel it just because the location near airport and there's swimming pool for relaxing last day in Jogja,i like the property and food is delicious at all but one thing made me a bit upset, we already booked the room for 3 person of us and when we checked in to the room they're not set up the extra bed, front desk staff ask me to check in first and then housekeeping prepared the extra bed when we are so tired and everything is so unorganized, i feel lucky only stay one night here.

Since i went jogja for 3 days i spent last day in Rumput hotel. The location bit down town.you can get the hotel only by taxi or ojek. I really disappointed by their service for all the staff..i booked the hotel was 1 month before trip for triple bed which is for 3rd bed is extra bed. when i arrived only Mr. Tri who really show the hospitality as a hotelier. i said truly from the heart. i really get suck when check in the front office not SHOW their smile.so sad due to the hotel was pretty amazing.the problem comes when we just find out the 3rd bed not set up yet!! then the housekeeping was so not polite attitude as we are traveling like a backpacker. the extra bed really suck also.they put only the blanket and sheet without duvet cover.no extra mineral water, cup for coffee, towel until we requested since we made the reservation 1 month before!!!as they know we are stay for 3 person!the toilet didn't work properly. actually rumput hotel was good for family group but i hate when i know our room in basement and blocked in corner so i cant get my phone signal.the WIFI was perfect. but overall only Mr.TRI was recommended as a hotelier and great staff.note only one staff.i suggest you given some tips for him becasue he always showing us the help such as make a coffee for us when breakfast time even buffet style, find out how to get the transport for us and everything.he was so adorable. why other staff cant follow him?? i dont know but good to stay here but not expect the service please..

Room Tip: please ask where they blocked your room because in basement you will lost the phone signal.if you go...

The hotel that located a bit outside the hustle of Yogya is quite popular. Proved when 5 night stays my period here, only 2 nights that I can truly enjoy the tranquility. Because at the weekend or during the school holidays, Hotel Rumput often booked by large families and groups. So, if you really want to stay at this hotel, make reservations in advance because the number of rooms they have pretty limited. Booking can only be made by bank transfer, unfortunately can not use a credit card or doing it online. Only payment in the hotel that could use a credit card.
The rooms that we have used is the Type of Savana. Its size is quite large, with a skylight ceiling around the room. The interior is very beautiful with traditional Javanese style. The bathroom was clean, nuanced tropical. Location of savanna room close to the pool and is a single building (like a resort). Fairly varied breakfast every morning. The price of Laundry facility & Restaurant menus were very reasonable.
For hospitality as reviewed by other reviewers, I did not find it well. Only 1 officer at breakfast area and 1 officer at reception area who really want to say hello first with a smile.

The first thing that attracted me about this hotel is the classic Javanese bed and its bungalow room style. I got promotional price that time, so I didn't expect a lot on this hotel before I arrived, but I really surprised with the whole facilities and services. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Even though the location is not too far from the city, but the atmosphere is very rejuvenating and peaceful. It worth every penny. Here's a tip: make an early booking because this hotel is always full.

Room Tip: Ilalang B is my favorite, the bed is so classic and the room feels so warm and cozy

Sorry, but I only have positive impressions on this budget hotel. The reservation is simple and straightforward, although you have to transfer some money as the down payment (I don't use CC). Loby is tiny and quite hot, but if you have made reservation, you can proceed quickly to get your room key.
The place is quite new, room and shower are neat and tidy, completed with basic amenities. The pool is pretty clean, and kids like it (small). Breakfast is authentic home-cooking indonesian food style. Love it!
The only cons is the location, which is not close to the city center, but it won't be a problem if you drive or rent a car. In addition, you won't be bothered with traffic noise, and you can sleep well.

The staff is nice, especially the one in charge for breakfast.

i would love to go back there again.

Finding a nice and pleasant hotel when the other hotels was fully booked -- thanks to the event of the royal wedding of the Sultan's daughter in October 2011 -- will be considering very lucky.

We stayed for more than 2 nights. We picked the small room with antique-but-a-little-freaky bed, and the bigger one with 2 bedrooms + dining room + family room + refrigerator + but unfortunately only have 1 bathroom. Nice rooms, helpful staff, pleasant little pool, and the wifi runs fast for free.
Unfortunately, there's a little problem with my bathroom: whenever I took a bath, the bathroom floor is a little bit flooded. Probably the sewage is clogged.

Hotel Rumput Resort & Resto is definitely a perfect hideaway from the busy city. The room is nicely decorated, and the balcony is nice to lie around and read your book. The food in the restaurant are delicious. But the main reason to stay is the swimming pool. Big enough to splash around or just to dip in after a hot humid...
