This restaurant operates from the upper floor of a two-storey building located beside Malioboro Mall along Jalan Malioboro, the busiest tourist street in Yogyakarta.
We asked around and found out that it was one of the most popular restaurants for tourists in that area apart from those located inside the big shopping mall. We decided to check it out for lunch but even at half past one in the afternoon they were not ready and still cleaning up and setting up the tables. However we were the only ones there and occupied one table overlooking the street below, with a good view of the Malioboro Mall, the busy street and the activities going on along the row of shops across the road.
Aside from the nice view, in my humble opinion, there was nothing to shout about, not the place nor the food. The dining area was not well-maintained and the furniture and décor looked very old and tired, thus failing to give it a positive ambiance, and the food was just so-so. The lackadaisical attitude of the staff did not help too.
Honestly this restaurant needs a refurbishment to effectively capitalize on its strategic location.
