Stayed in this hotel with our tour group on the first week of May. I personally stayed for two nights. Having ever stayed in this hotel five years prior, no significant changes were made on the building of the hotel. All the public places are open-air and therefore not air conditioned. Local newspapers can be found in the lobby. The swimming pool is not really big with separate child pool. The (small) restaurant is located beside the pool. All public places in this hotel were small, thus making this hotel feels homey and quiet, which is a plus side.
The rooms were quite small too, without being too small. I stayed in the larger variant room. One thing to note here is that every room in this hotel has a fully functioning smart TV which is really nice. Room cleanliness was good, but there were some cracks and degrading wall paint on the wall. The bathroom was clean too.
I didn't get the chance to try any food from the hotel, even the breakfast.
The hotel is located in a prime location, being near to the city center and the Sultan's Palace which is a popular tourist destination. Taxis and pedicabs were easy to find. But the airport is quite far from the hotel.
Staffs were friendly, typical Javanese hospitality.
I left the hotel on early morning to catch an early flight. Should you do the same, be sure to book a taxi the night before via the receptionist as catching a taxi on early morning here may be a little hard.
I had a satisfying stay and I'd love to visit this hotel again in the future
