Stayed her for two nights at the start of a small group tour. Pleasant reception area and friendly welcome with soft drinks etc. The road outside is fairly busy, so get a room at the back. Hotel has a small swimming pool with restaurant adjacent. Good breakfast – western and Indonesian – with good coffee, and an omelette chef!
Rooms pretty good with TV, fridge, kettle and coffee/tea and free wi-fi. One very minor point is that wardrobe space is slightly limited, but for a couple of nights that's not really a problem. Clean and tidy bathroom with bath and shower above.
24hr supermarket 100m away (out of hotel and go right) and lots of good bars and restaurants just round the corner in Prawirotaman Street (50m beyond supermarket).
Old town and Sultan's Palace about 10 minutes walk away (but there's always a cyclo outside the hotel).
Recommended.

Room Tip: Get a room at the back - away from the road

I booked this hotel during a recent business trip to Yogyakarta, as it was recommended by my working place. When the first time I arrived at this hotel, I was quite surprised by the fact that the hotel's facade looked a bit rundown, but still it is a nice hotel.
The hotel is generally a decent hotel with good room, and proper cleanliness. But unfortunately, it is largely downed by poor service.
We rented car for two days (including a pick up service from the station). But what did we got? We were left wandering around the station, while waiting for the pick up service which did not come....until I made a phone call to the hotel! And when asked about the car, they said the car was unavailable, despite the fact that we had paid for the car!
During the breakfast on the following day, I found the meal was reasonably well. Unfortunately, it was ended when I accidentally drank expired milk served on the buffet!
And as a final insult, they did not tidied up the rooms, which were still in messy condition by the time we returned back from our journey around Yogya!

The management did tried hard to fix the situation by providing some compensations, but still I felt that I don't want to come to this hotel again :-(

We stayed there 4 nights and everything went very well. The staff were very kind arranging everything we needed and even more. The place is very quiet, breakfast is great and the room was very clean and spacious. We can only recommend this place and would be very glad to stay there again!

As a budget hotel, it has clean and good room and facilities. Near the tourist area of Prawirotaman.

Breakfast taste was good, but need improvement in refilling the buffet during the full occupancy, especially when more families were in house. This hotel need rules and regulation for using swimming pool i.e no jump, swim wear, operating hours, etc.

good hotel, excellent breakfast and large room (even if the fornuture were quite old).
me and my wife were thinking about giving four point BUT before leaving.. everything changed.
at 5:30 in the morning we heard children shouting in the pool. they jumped in the water, shouting and loughing as children do when nobody tell them to stop. and if the parents were educated in the jungle,...somebody of the staff should do something. i waited for 15 minutes, after that i went to the lobby asking them to stop the noise (at 5:45 am). they answered me that HERE in indonesia people can swim all the time in the pool cause it's a facility that is included in the rates and they cannot understand my strange request.
so, dear american-australian-european guest, i suggest you don't go there if you want to sleep at night, as we do in our "strange" country ;)
ps. every room is pool side so,,,no way to avoid the noise
