“atmosphere and delicious food!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 2, 2012

ate here 3 or 4 nights in a row. great place with a daily special menu. great indonesian meals for a reasonable price. two meals + two drinks = ca. 110.00 indonesian rupiah.
service was prompt and food was great. a live band that works its evening through every restaurant in the street came by all evenings and played some songs which created a really nice dinner atmosphere. The adjacent shop sells fair trade stuff and offers cooking classes and other courses. WiFi available in the restaurant. meals are tasty, light, and good sized portions. definitely recommend this place!

“Nice place and good food, better on fridays”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 29, 2012

Nice place where to spend some hours in the night to have dinner and, on fridays, you can enjoy very good live Jazz music. Tasty food, good and varied drinks and very good prices. If you go, in order to avoid the noisy traffic and the warm weather, better to stay upstairs.

“Best restaurant in the area”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 24, 2012

ViaVia is in a road full of restaurants but in our experience by far the best.
We visited it most days during our 10 day stay in Yogya, having breakfasts and evening meals.
There was so much choice with quality and prices very good.
Beware it gets very busy in the evening so reserve a table or get there early.

“heart heart heart ViaVia Jogja!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 21, 2012

yes, yes, yes - it's definitely frequented by tourists. But that doesn't mean that it's not worth going to if you're in Yogyakarta! We ate there twice - great organic food, great coffee and great fruit juices, btw. We also booked a tour through them - which was easy to book, convenient, and overall awesome. If we had more time, we would have booked another tour with them. People were friendly, it was super relaxing and they have a cute giftshop. They also had live music (Beatles covers with an upright bass!) on one of the nights we ate there. Would definitely recommend and would definitely go back!!

“Popular spot in the tourist area”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 18, 2012

Usually frequented by tourists. The food variety is pretty good and unique. The taste was pretty good as well, specially more so since this is Yogyakarta (the food standards are quite low).

If you're in the south of Jogja, and you're looking for a fair priced western meal, head to ViaVia at least once. I've been there twice and I'll go there again despite living in the north part of Jogja.
