Din Tai Fung in Indonesia does not serve pork, respecting the wish for halal food of the majority of Indonesians. But do not worry! Their Xiao Long Bao (soupy dumplings) have been futilely immitated by every chinese restaurant in town, to no avail, the best ones are the ones from Din Tai Fung.

This Taiwanese chain of restaurants trully deserves its Michelin star, I have tried them in Seol, Singapore and in Jakarta (all four outlets serve impecably well executed food).

Service is prompt and friendly, food is heavenly good and the prices very reasonable. A must visit restaurant!

Delicious choices of dim sum (my favorite is the Xiao Long Bao, their specialties), with other types of meals also available, and of course, for desert, the best gui ling ago in town.

The offer many variaties and they are delicious. A bit pricy though. I like the black pepper beef and all the dumplings they have. All other menus I've tied suit my taste well.

Although the ingredient is shrimp or chicken their Xia long bau's are not bad. But I personally prefer the shrimp over chicken. It has more moisture and the overall texture is more closer to the original pork that I'm used to. Their other menus are not bad, especially their noodle dishes. Price level is a bit high for everyday visit.
