I stayed at ATLET CENTURY PARK HOTEL from September 24 to 28, 2010. I stayed 2 nights in a Superior/Deluxe room and 2 nights on Executive Club room. I agree with the review of Cristianrv of Barcelona, Spain for their Superior/Deluxe room. It was really really run down and that is exactly the picture of their Superior or Deluxe room. Although, they have categorized their regular floor room as Superior and Deluxe, but both of those category are just the same. During our first 2 nights, I am not satisfied on checking in because we arrived very late already, almost midnight and our booked TWIN ROOM is not yet ready for us. We are tired but has to wait them preparing the room for us. Their HOUSE KEEPING on the first two nights I stayed on regular floor where certainly in chaos, it take them so long to figure out what went wrong. On the succeeding two nights where I move to executive floor, service are better, room are better which I have taken some pictures, but still has communication barrier since some of the staff speaks no English at all. Location of this hotel is very accessible to high end shopping malls, if you are a shopaholic then this is a perfect place for you if you wont mind their regular floor room being so run down, otherwise, booked for Executive Floor room which are all NEWLY RENOVATED. Although the hotel is near to malls, but there is no convenience store near by, so, if you arrived late or early morning, then, I would recommend that you buy the stuff you need before proceeding to this hotel.

Is a very normal 4 star hotel, good located with expensive prices (in comparation with other better hotels near). The biggest problem that this hotel has is the way they hide you the information about the normal rooms through his website, they have all their different rooms rated in the web, but they only show the photos of the renovated ones, obviously no giving any info about that, the funny thing is that you can get a good price for a room seeing photos of the renovated rooms and maybe you can think you are getting a good deal. The fact that my friends and me found when we arrived at this "hotel" is that we get the non renovated rooms (all the standard rooms are not renovated), these rooms looks like a 2 star dirty hotel, also with a meeting of muslim people eating disgusting things at the hall of the floor. We went to speak with the staff in the front desk, and they only said to us: "sorry no photos of superior room in the website, only photos of good rooms", after 20 minutes discussion, the argument was the same. So, at the end we had to pay 25€ more per room to get a decent one, not a good one, a decent one (like a 3 star hotel). Our first booking was 60€ per room, finally we paid 85€ per room, and we had the possibility to stay for the same price at melia hotel or sheraton hotel. At the end we did a very bad business booking this hotel, also the wifi and the broadband internet is slower than a traditional 56k modems. Also forget to ask for help of the staff for any complicated issue.
I recommend to look for another hotel

I stayed at this hotel for a business trip in march. I was upgraded to the executive room the first time and got a renovated room the second time. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The service was not that good, though -long wait to get anything. The fitness room and pool are good, as was the restaurant. If you don't smoke, make sure your room is non-smoking, otherwise your stay will be pretty miserable! The location is good, as the hotel is walking distance from malls and from the convention center. Overall, a good hotel -thanks mainly to the great new rooms.

I recently completed my second 3 week stay at Atlet Century Park. I will NOT return. I pay the extra price for the executive club (16th) floor to have privacy and quiet with other executives. But the hotel decided to book hundreds of young kids from Singapore for a baseball and softball tournament and even booked them into rooms on the executive club floor. So at all hours of the day there were young 10 to 13 year old boys and girls running around the halls yelling and screaming. I have NOTHING against young kids having a great time like this, but not on the Executive Club floor where the hotel charges a premium. I was not warned that the hotel was going to be turned into a baseball camp for a week. Their total disregard for loyal customers is obvious. Never again!!!!

Plus
- Location is good. FX Centre ~ 100m-200m & Plaza Senayan ~ 250m-350m at the back of hotel.
- Easy access to busway Halte Gelora Bung Karno.
- Stayed at Executive Club Level 11. Basic amenities for hotels (up to 3star although this hotel is a 4star). Get 8 hours free internet access per day. Good deal considering that majority most hotels charged their internet access usage.
- Transportation is easy. Busway and taxi easy to get.

Minus
- Noises on level 10 renovation still on and can be heard during day time (management said noises should stopped by mid February 2010 even though the renovation works continue until 18 April 2010).
- Better to have breakfast at Senayan Cafe rather than Executive Lounge for two reasons: More choices at cafe and table at lounge not suitable to enjoy breakfast.
- WiFi only works at public area i.e. lounge area, lobby area. No WiFi in the room. Very troublesome and sometimes very very slow.
- Room is not sound proof. Can hear neighbors talking and laughing at night.
- Room wise, although cater for two, the amenities (with exception to towels) are for one pax only i.e., pillows, slippers and robe.

Overall - from outside, the hotel facade seems rundown. The lobby and cafe still stuck in the 1970s/80s. Do not have sittings for guests to sit down at the lobby while waiting for someone.

Lets start with the pluses - The location is a plus, located in leafy Senayan down the road from posh Mulia Hotel, and is a 5min walk to Plaza Senayan n Senayan City - two posh malls. 10 jamless mins to Kemayan and Central Jakarta. The pluses end there.
The hotel itself is old world non charm, with drab fittings, with some shots of colour here n there. The facade is bearable weary, which gets worse once you get to the rooms. For USD 73 a nite for a Superior via Agoda, did expect something like shabby chic, but got much less. The hugest turnoff was the sticky like carpeting, which prompted me to wear slippers throughout the room. The carpet has this weird tonal reddish colour, due perhaps to sun exposure. I don't understand for the life of me, why carpets are the norm in hotels. Wood or tiles are just as good, and are hardier!! Anyways, the other pain was the drilling that goes from 9am-5pm, as they are refitting/renovating deluxe rooms etc. But the staff were helpful n prompt when I asked for a hair dryer etc. Would I stay here again, no - may pay a bit more n stay at Nikko where its at..
