ITC Mall Mangga Dua is interconnected with Mal Mangga Dua and Harcomas Mangga Dua on the opposite side of the road which specializes in gadgets, electronics, and Pasar Pagi Mangga Dua. Even the interconnecting links have shop outlets. F&B outlets are haphazardly placed, aisle are narrow. But the variety! Even you are not a shopaholic, just give this place a visit.

You can shop till you drop here provided that you have an excellent bargaining skill. If yes, you can get a lot of stuffs at good price.

I feel like this is more like a fashion mall. If you are looking for traditional clothes, you have to really search for the shop as it is located at the very far end and quite hidden from the main shops.

I was there during Indonesian public holiday and it was extremely packed! People were pushing each other and you can hardly walk around.

For shopaholics, this is a perfect place for you!!

I usually visit ITC Mangga Dua on every visit to Jakarta. It's 3 shopping malls interconnected by a bridge; sell anything from computer parts to clothing, all the way to stationary. There are plenty of fake branded goods with the highest quality (you won't be able to tell the difference when you put it side by side with the original). The fake would simply wear out faster. It's usually overcrowded but definitely worth a visit.

A metered taxi ride from Central Jakarta (Menteng) to ITC will cost you around Rp 28,000 only. Make sure you quote 'ITC (ay-tay-say) Mangga Dua'. You may end up in different malls if you only quote 'Mangga Dua'.

This place is really really huge and packed! It can get really crowded during weekends. You can find stuffs like T-shirt, imitated luxury goods, DVDs, shoes, souvenirs, local handcrafts, bridal wardrobe and the list goes on!

The offered price of all this items are very high which almost 100% from the wholeseller price. This is where the funs begin. You bargain with your price which 20-30% less than the initial price. When they agree, try to buy other goods and bargain the total price. I managed to grab 3 very nice T-shirt at Rp150,000 instead of Rp320,000. The key is being nice and not too bossy.

If you fly to Jakarta and stay around this area, you may cut you cost by skipping rubbish luggage fee (as for budget airlines) by buying all your wardrobe here. I bought almost everything from undergarment to clubbing shirts and shoes. Make sure you bring enougb cash. The money changer is very rare and rate are not good. Overall, I really love this place! My total damaged was around Rp1,800,000 and I really really happy! I feel like winner ;)

My family (2 Adults and a 12-year old daughter) visited ITC Mangga Dua on Friday, 26/10/12. Our experiences are as follows :
Pro =>
a) Interesting shopping complex with more than 200 shops on 7 levels. There are both wholesalers and retailers. The merchandise is mainly low to mid end items, including many 'knock offs' especially watches, hand-bags and DVDs.
b) Almost all shops open by 10.00am and close at about 6.00pm. Crowd starts to build up after 11.00am.
c) Huge variety of things on sale, both local and imported merchandise.
d) Conveniently link to 'Pasar Pagi Mangga Dua' and 'Mangga Dua Mall'.
e) For good bargains go in the morning, before 11.00am. Business people believe in securing a deal in their first transaction for the day. As such, they are more willing to give better price.
Con =>
a) The crowd can be too overwhelm in the afternoons. Beware of pick-pockets.
b) Only A&W fast food and local cafes. Not many eating places.
c) Ventilation can be bad at the lower floors.
d) Found only 1 money changer and the rate was below average. Eg. 1S$=Rp7,650 as compared to Rp7,800 at Mangga Dua Mall.
e) Have to bargain hard. Start with 60-80% off the first quoted price. And end with 40- 50%. If the price is listed then ask for 10-20% off, if purchase with quantity.

We were 'Wow' by the variety and quantity. Will definitely visit again.
