Actually I had been very satisfied with this hotel until the moment of truth, which was the breakfast time.
I stayed in the suite room, which was I thought really exceeded my expectation of the budget hotel.
The room was very spacious and cozy. There was a sofa and writing table, but still had my left space in my room. But alas, they didn't provide any closet or wardrobe, instead they had a laptop size in room safe and small refrigerator.
Because of the size of the room, the air conditioner had difficulties in filling the cold air in the room. It really took longer time for the A/C to make the air in the air cool.
The quality of the room furnishing was average, most of the furniture used were the teak wood covered with grained vinyl style sheet, which some of them were scrapping (look at my picture).
Actually the bed was a good quality one. Your sleeping quality at night was determined by the good quality of this bed.
The bathroom was good, with complete range of the basic bathroom amenities. The bathroom was quite spacious, even If the had installed the bathtub instead the shower cabin it would be nicer.
Dont' expect any luxurious-boutique style hotel from this hotel, since everything was super minimalist and giving the functional more than the appearance.
There was something quite the disturbing for the family with young children guest. They only had 1 Tv channel for kids which made the room ambience for kids was boring. It was a shame.
There was a note for the parking space. The parking space was minimum, luckily on the time of my arrival the hotel was not fully booked, so there were many spaces on the basement. I just couldn't imagine how if the hotel was full. Where should we park our car?
This hotel has a large and well decorated lobby and restaurant. Even I could say that there quality of the lobby and restaurant could compete the ones in the 3 or 4 stars hotel.
The restaurant was elegant, they used good quality china and cutleries. With the waiter attending and offering us tea and coffee as if we were in the high end service hotel.
But alas, the quality of the food and the range of the breakfast were terrible.
It would be unfair to expect too many things from the budget hotel, I know...
It would be unfair to expect 4 star hotel breakfast quality from the 2 star hotel, I know...
But what I could say that the food variety was really killing my appetite for having breakfast.
As I could recalled, the provided the plain yellow rice, fried noodle and fried bean cake with chilli. That's it..There was also toast bread, guava juice instead of orange and ice water. Tasteless Coffee and tea.
Seems many yes..but imagine yourself eating this kind of variety of food. And actually the taste was not nice anyway.
Well, I was trying to be fair, some good point and some weak point. Combined together I would prefer to have a lower room rate without having a breakfast, if I could choose.
