Have you ever feel like you wanted to have that one restaurant that you can go to, knowing you will get great food and welcoming smile from the staff who knows you by name? For me, Umaku Tebet is that place.

The sashimi and sushi are top notch, they have their own supplier from Japan so that the stock was flown directly without third party, resulting in fresher quality and more affordable price. Their salmon belly and toro sashimi are super delicious, as well as their wakame salad. Try the salmon aburi--it melts in your mouth, volcano sushi--delicious for the mayonnaise lovers, unagi kabayaki--my ultimate comfort food and also sake kabutoyaki--best grilled salmon head in town.

Umaku Tebet is the place to get great sushi with affordable place. Try it once, you don't need to thank me when you're hooked from then on.

You can't just eat there. Talk to the people, they're friendly. There's this atmosphere that Umaku radiates, it might not does it better there compared to its first branch in Citra Gran, Cibubur, but that's what they're known for. Uki, the head chef, even caters to Umaku fans via twitter. The relationship extends to just the visit. It's something that little intimate restaurants should aim for. Who knows, on one of your visit, the chef might give you an extra sushi, that's not on the menu, on the house. Fun surprise!
If you just want to eat and run, do it in a sushi bar instead. Sure, the price is competitive, but you're missing the point.
