Stayed for a couple of days at the end of August. The hotel is your typical Ibis hotel with all their usual interiors, so you know what you are getting. Service was generally quite helpful. It's located a short walk from Jalan Jaksa which is billed by some reviews as a small version of Bangkok's Kho San Road area. Well, that is stretching it somewhat. Jalan Jaksa has a handful of bars and restaurants and is really quite quiet. Certainly not a party place. There's a 7/11 next door to the hotel and a few restaurants within spitting distance. There's a taxi rank outside the hotel which is good for getting around. There's no shopping areas or markets near the hotel - head to Plaza Mall M if you're after branded clothes at knock down prices. Overall the hotel is fine for an overnight stop if travelling through Jakarta. As for Jakarta itself there's really not much to say. It's a working city with little to do in the way of entertainment or natural sights. I don't think i'd return, but if I had to this hotel wouldn't be a bad place to stop.
