I am a frequent business traveler to Jakarta, and now I always stay at Hotel Mulia Senayan. The rooms are nice, and the staff is very friendly. By the time you reach the front desk 10 employees will have greated you with huge smiles-- that feels great at the end of a travel day. The food is very good. There are several restaurants with a braod variety of ethnic cuisine. It's all available for room service, so the menu is just immense. If you have ecclectic tastes, you won't run out of options even on multiple stays. There are a couple bar options: there is a laid-back cocktail lounge with live music and there is CJs, which is more of a dance club, also with live music. I'm more into the quiet scene myself, but CJs it's a popular spot in the Jakarta scene, with people coming to the hotel just for the club. given Jakarta trafic, that could be a big plus.
