It's well located if you've got business at the US Embassy or a variety of Indonesian government agencies such as the Ministry of Trade. The grounds are lovely and the hotel itself is large and nice. Lots of restaurant options in the hotel, some of them quite good though I thought the main restaurant (don't know the name) is mostly nothing special. The rooms are large.

i stayed at borobudur hotel for 2 nights. Great hotel with great room, excellent bathroom, excellent breakfast and great services & facilities. But, i had trouble electric engine at my room. This was so annoying because we should turn on the elecric panel repeatedly and this is disaster, even we called the technician..this is still being problem till we check out.

I went to a networking function here in the Musro annexe. They had charged the organisers Rps 300,000 a head (US$ 32) for 2 hours of supper and free flow drinks. They served some very skinny chicken wings and several plates of very small and dried up sanwiches - for 60 people. A 1* hotel would have been ashamed of the offering. There was supposed to be 'free flow' wine for 2 hours but the staff had failed to open any in advance ensuring there was always a queue whilst they struggled with the only corksrew. They used less than a case for 60 people ensuring them a very profitable evening. The place is tired and a brief glance at the 'back of house' area was not what you want to see where food is being cooked/served.

Staff worse than unhelpful. No apology offered for the disgraceful food and beverage offering. A horrid evening. I will never go near the place again.

The location is perfect in centrally of main capital. i stayed here for 5 nights in January 2013 and it was my first visit at this hotel. The breakfast is amazing with wide range of selections, the best 'sop buntut' signature oxtail soup available at their room service with speedy served. The room was average but the amenities at the top of quality. Taxi arrangement really well organized.
Recommended hotel for bussiness trip and short relaxation in the mid of crowd Jakarta.

A Beautiful hotel with traditional decor large size room with sky view of the city. It has wonderful grounds and surround, with a huge swimming pool. Once one is in the gardens one feels "Far from madding crowd.

It would not be see as cheap place to sleep and eat but, Dinner and breakfast with multiple choices.
Room service perfect, staff with can do attitude and prompt delivery of service.
Please have $15.00 ready for internet service in the room, no Wi-Fi but LAN connection.
I would go back again if opportunity comes by again.

Room Tip: Book deluxe Room on the front side of the hotel.

I stayed here about 60 days over April, May, June and July, 2012. I also stayed here for twenty some odd months between 2002 and 2006.

First: the good things.

This hotel has the best grounds in Jakarta, with a true Olympic-sized pool, almost a half mile track and several outdoor tennis courts. The hotel has one "cafe" and three specialty restaurants (Japanese, Chinese and Italian). The Cafe (Bogor Cafe) is good has expansive breakfasts and buffets and very good Indonesian dishes. The specialty restaurants are outstanding and reasonably priced - I especially recommend the Japanese with very good sushi, sashi and other dishes, all at a very fair price.

Second: The good. The rooms themselves are nice and are being renovated (I've stayed on the renovated floors). TV and Internet is what you would expect from a first-tier hotel. However, the infrastructure (piping, AC, and electricity) reflects the hotel's age, and can occasionally fail. The executive lounge on the top floor is very nice, but the spread can be meager, and the hours of service (closing food and drinks at 8pm) are a little limited.

Third: The gym is poor. The layout is good, but the same machines and equipment (new in 1998 or so) are very worn today. Some don't work well, others are creaky. Out of three exercise bikes, two no longer work properly. Out of two ellipticals, neither work properly. Half of treadmills work fine, the other half are twitchy. The lighting is stale flourescent and the main work out area shows its age. There are lots of weight machines, however. The gym also needs to open earlier - it's hard to get in a full workout before work.

All in all, this is a very good hotel that could be great with a little brushup.

Central location (from airport abt 45min), just 10min walk to the national monument, short walking distance to Atrium Plaza and other bigger malls are also not too far(as long as no rain and before 5pm). The room is spacious (superior twin bed), had a big bed...got a good sleep:-). The pool is huge, definitely something for the pool fans:-). The security is kind of annoying, but seems its normal for Jakarta. There is unfortunately no wifi...only cable internet...15usd per day...quite greedy hotel. The breakfast is nice. The hotel staff is friendly, helpful, nothing to complain about. Restaurants are all around the hotel... if u like a short walk before and/or after the dinner.
