(Very) Warm and convenient.

I stay here so many times, for a long stay mostly.
-> The location is good, with a shopping mall next door, which means a lot of good cheap foods. However the traffic jam in the U-turn across the hotel can be quite of a problem (i think one of the worst in Jakarta) if you want to go downtown especially in working days.
-> Check in is efficient most of the time.
-> Lobby is cold and just look so comfortable.
-> Staff is very very very friendly since my first stay, which is one of the thing that keep me coming back, and i found lack in any other property.
-> I think by now all of the rooms are renewed. I love their newly refurbished room. The bed is big and very comfortable, the air conditioner works perfectly, the bathroom is clean (i never liked the taste and smell of tap water though), the lighting is beautiful and just adequate, and overall the room is very clean and neat.
-> Buffet breakfast is good, though if you stay long enough you'll feel that the food is quite repetitve.
-> Pool is clean for Indonesian standard, the fitness center is quite comprehensive as well.
-> About the room rate, to be honest is what makes me go with Pullman Central Park as the first choice nowadays. At a same rate, i can stay at a new 5 star property, i can be next door to a newer (and better) shopping mall, with a little bit of a fancier room. If this hotel just running on USD65-75 like it used to be, it will definitely be my 1st choice again.
-> Another thing (that allow me to stay, of course) is that the hotel doesn't have a minimum check in age or they doesn't apply it strictly, as i was able to check in unaccompanied since i was like 14.
-> You should check out the membership, SBEC, as it offers a lot of benefits, complimentaries.
Finally i highly recommend this property for those who travels with family at the most or/and want the convenience of airport and shopping mall next door.

Thank you for your continued support to Hotel Ciputra Jakarta as well as your families support. I am glad to hear your comments and they are all well noted. Overall you seem most satisfied with your accommodation over the years at Hotel Ciputra Jakarta.
I would just like to clarify a couple of the points raised in your review.
1/ You mentioned we do not have a minimum check in age, or a very lax one. As you have been able to check in since 14 years of age. Hotel Ciputra Jakarta is a Internationally managed hotel and take very serious the rules and regulations governing the operations of a hotel. The hotel is very aware of your previous stays at the hotel as your family has been a member of the hotel's loyalty program SBEC for a number of years. When you were younger it was your family and in particular your father who made all room reservations and co-ordinated with the SBEC Manager arrival times and special requests. As you and your family was living in separate parts of the archipelago, you will arrive to the hotel earlier, hence you had gained access earlier to the room, prior to your families arrival.
2/ You mentioned that your preferred accommodation is now our 5 star neighbor hotel due to the fact price, upmarket mall and fancier room. We are very fortunate now that we have 3 large shopping malls in our vicinity with also 3 hotels from 5, 4 & 3 star. This has made Grogol and Tomang area of Jakarta a destination in itself, with our hotels close proximity to the airport, toll roads and to the CBD this area know is a preferred area to stay whilst visiting Jakarta or even if you reside already in the city. Hotel Ciputra Jakarta is very mindful on how we position ourselves amongst the hotels in this vicinity, we are honored to be compared to our five star neighbor, but they are 5 star and we are 4 star. Our pricing does reflect this and on researching both our hotels websites you will see that there is some considerable gap between the two properties in regards to pricing. So referring to our hotels offering "at a same rate" is misleading.
Unfortunately every year hotel operating costs increase, whether it is due to labor increases,utilities costs or increase costs from our business partners, we are unable to remain with the same rates as it used to be.
Randy, thank you again for your review of Hotel Ciputra Jakarta from over the years, we hope that you and your family can once again choose our hotel as your preferred choice for accommodation whilst in Jakarta and that you continue your SBEC Memberships.

Fantastic Hotel

The hotel is a great...friendly staff,the room is beautiful.....you can have business meeting at the huge lobby.....you can excess the shopping centre where you can find a lot of food, supermarket,pharmacy,boutique etc...

Room Tip: I stayed on the 9th floor & it has the view of the swimming pool..

Hotel Ciputra

Stayed here for a month now and still continuing for another two months. Good rooms, pool and gym. Buffet spread for the breakfast is good. However, if you are here for a long time ( like me) then the menu gets a bit too repetitive. In the breakfast apart from the continental break fast and fresh fruit juices , one also gets a chance to taste the indonesian delicacies. Excellent location as the hotel is attached to Ciputra mall and also the other two big malls taman angrek and central mall are just a stone throw away. Walking partners can take a stroll to these malls and the other lazy ones can take cab or ojek for minimum fare.
Friendly and courteous staff is definitely a plus point. A complementary lan connection and wifi connection definitely helps.
Only negative point is if you are on a corporate package , the staff do not allow you to add points to your membership card.

Room Tip: If you are staying upto about 12th floor take a pool view room. Above 12th floor u can go for the street view.

Good enough.

Stayed here for a couple of nights for business in the Executive room and did not go out much, so I cannot comment on the location.

The room itself was clean, but as I was looking around for mineral water, I found a bottle that was half-filled!

Bed was comfortable.

Air-con way too cold. Had to switch off air-con to sleep.

Free wi-fi but had to get someone to fix up the wireless modem.

Water pressure in shower was fine with plenty of hot water. Note water is not potable.

Room size was reasonable and comfortable.

Large but old mall linked to the hotel.

Service was prompt and polite.

If the location suits you, you can consider this hotel.

Will always be my 1st choice hotel in Jakarta

I visit Jakarta every year since 2007 and my accommodation has always been Ciputra Hotel.
The staff are always friendly and helpful. They even recognize our faces even though we go there only once a year. The general manager is friendly too. Sometimes you can spot him walking around the lobby or the Gallery restaurant.
They've just renovated the Gallery restaurant and it's absolutely gorgeous ! The buffet choices have increased too and I like that we can now request our own concoction of fresh juices, something not available before.
Rooms are nice and it's pleasant to know that they have provided free Internet in the rooms, doesn't matter if it's LAN or WiFi. Even some 5 star hotels don't provide free Internet in rooms so I'm really grateful when any hotel does provide it.
The best part is it's connected to a mall. You can get your groceries at Hero supermarket and there are plenty of restaurants to satisfy your taste buds.
Location is good too since the traffic is not as as heavy as central Jakarta and it's nearer to the airport.
I would recommend this hotel to everyone.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the pool has a nicer view.
