Had a two night stay at the Intercontinental to attend/speak at a conference, held in previous years at the Four Seasons. A combination of trying to run my publication and attend the conference meant I never really left the hotel in 48 hours. There was in hotel management parlance an initial "challenge" with the room as the air con didn't work - bad news in tropical Jakarta - was told to "wait" as they didn't have another free room in the same category. I didn't take kindly to this as i was trying to work, phoned up the manager which worked and 10mins later moved to a junior suite.
The junior suite was good and had a very sensible work desk. Conference facilities seemed good. I liked the Italian restaurant and room service was decent. Minimart in basement of connected building is useful After the initial "challenge" a decent place to stay.More
