“nice Yemen food in asian-mediterranean ambiance”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 19, 2012

The restaurant is located in the busy street on the afternoon with full of small bus and tuk-tuk, but in the evening the road is ok and the restaurant is open until midnight so good for escaping jakarta street and we still have very nice food here. Its Yemen cuisine and its great ! we try for entré is Hummus , yes its so standard mediterranean menu, with chick peas and pita bread. the hummus is great ! and the bread is fresh from the oven so the appetizer was nice now we move to haupt menu with Akhda Laham, its lamb in tomato sauce serve with french fries. The lamb is so tender and juicy also we can taste the marinating herbs in the mouth, we also ordered mint tea and its really complementing the lamb. for salad we choose Laban salad , its a yoghurt salad with cucumber chilled. not my favorit cause the yoghurt is so sour. but anyway if you stay in Santika hotel, this restaurant is just 5 minute walk from your room :) and its worth to try :) the price is very good for arabische kitchen !
