No one can really get to know a place in 5-7 days, especially when the place is as vast and culturally rich as Tibet. However, if this is all the time one's schedule and means allow for an introductory glimpse into this enchanting land, one needs to look no further than Tibet Native Travel Services to be one's guide, not because as a foreign visitor, one is not allowed to roam wild in Tibet, but because there is no quicker way to connect with the people and history that are responsible for every artifact and practice one sees under the sky in this vast landscape.

If you are reading this, chances are you have read about Tibet and have at least some notion of its recent history, but Tibet and the Tibetans are much more than that. Keep an open mind, listen, ask questions, observe, participate when invited to do so, and you will be rewarded with an experience like no other, and will have much to reflect upon on your way home.

In so far as the level of service is concerned, everything written by the other reviewers is true. The staff at TNTS may be too modest to lay claim to being the best in the business, but I fail to see how they can be topped! In fact, when comparing notes with Chinese travelers from the inner provinces, we learned that dollar for dollar, the service and accommodation we were getting were far superior to what was available to them.

Bear in mind that your guide is not only responsible for making your visit as comfortable and enjoyable as physically possible, but also for how you behave in public during the tour. While your guide will never stop you from doing what you wish to do, use common sense and act responsibly, so that this type of service will continue to be available for many more visitors to enjoy.

Spent 4 days in tibet (lhasa and namtso) on a customise trip with Tibet Native Travel. Sonam and his team really amazed me from planning our itinerary based on our wish list to making it come true!

Sonam replies to your emails and queries late into the night (depending on your timezone) and makes sure you get your permit, train or flight ticket in time. He even made the point of meeting up and having a chat with you to ensure everything is okay.

Our guide (both guide and driver were locals) is really knowledgable about everything we asked about Tibet (not to forget a lot of time is given to take photos).

Really thankful for the wonderful service (they do not bring you to any shops which needs you to spend money) and kind hospitality

Rest assured that your trip to and in tibet would be wonderful and stress free with tibet native travel.

We booked our trip through Tibet Native Travel services a couple months ago. They were very quick to respond and very accommodating. They booked the hotels, arranged our Tibet travel permit and provided with a fantastic tour guide and driver and the car was top notch. I believe my experience would have been very different if I didn't use a company like this one. I also wanted to use a Tibetan company and have a Tibetan tour guide as I believe they are more knowledgeable about Tibet than their Chinese counterparts. During our stay at the hotel in Lhasa we encountered a problem and they changed our hotel without any extra charges. On our last day they invited us to a very special dinner. I highly recommend this company as their service is excellent from beginning to end!

The tour was well organised. We had a lot of mailcontact with Sonam before the tour started, so we really knew what to expect.
The guide (Gillek) was from Tibet and was very knowledgeable, informative, friendly and had a good sense of humor. He also took care of all the paperwork (check points for the permits). The driver didn't speak English but tried to communicate with us anyway. He drove long hours, so really respect for him.
The meals were good: sometimes in a small restaurant, sometimes with a family at home and always Tibetaan style.
The hotels were also very nice. Sometimes it was a long day driving, but then we had a nice coffee break at a glacier or a small visit at a temple.
Maybe the best part of the tour was of course seeing the Mount Everest and going to the basecamp, but also sleeping in the yak tent was very nice!
