Location wise , this hotel is great. Next to a lot of street shopping , walking distance to jokhang temple, bakhor street market, and close to potala palace. Room accommodations are ok. Toilet seat is broken , sometimes no hot water, next to noisy street. WiFi is nice and fast. Service is ok . Staff does not speak English except one main guy.

We spent a total of 9 nights in this Tibetan owned hotel, which has lots of local atmosphere and features. Staff are very friendly and facilities good. The rooms we stayed in were good and clean (as a family we stayed in a total of 4 rooms). Breakfast was ok and they made an effort to cater for us as vegans. It made our stay in Lhasa very pleasurable.

The hotel is solid overall. The lobby is authentic and the staff makes up for a welcoming atmosphere. We didn't have any issues with the cleanliness in our room - everything was to our content or in the realm of what we would expect. The location is top notch, walking out of the front gate you're in the middle of the buzzing city. The breakfast with a view of Topala is garnished with a very accommodating and friendly staffer.

We stayed for a total of six nights pre and post Kailash trip in August. The rooms are decorated in nice Tibetan style. The toilets leaked water onto the bathroom floor, the bedbase covers and carpet were stained. No vacuum cleaners were used. Front facing rooms were noisy until late at night. The decorative curtains on the rooftop are so old they are in shreds. There is no vehicle access to bring in your luggage from the main road 7 mins walk away. Mosquitos in one room. Had to change room to get a hot shower. Good points include proximity to the Ramoche Monastery - very interesting and busy. The elevator worked well. The breakfast staffer was a delight. The view of the Potala.

This hotel is aged, extremely dirty (we found extensive blood traces on linen and blanket). The floor carpet has not been cleaned for ages. There is hot water in the evening but not in the morning. They overcharge a lot any service like the laundry.

There is a lovely terrace but plenty of other hotels in Lhassa have it... You can get much better sleeping options in Lhassa.
