Just at the entrance of DanJieLin road,on the second floor of an ignored house. But you can find its sign on the street hanging upon a stairway.
They supply a huge range of home-made dishes including tibetan and western food.Taste is average, but warming atmosphere. There are cats walking around while you're having meals.

Nice place, though basic furniture, but the food is great. Try the bobi! You get 3 "pancakes" with fresh cheese and mixed fried vegetables. Delicious!

We had lunch here the first day we were in Lhasa. We had Chinese food at tashi I and it was just ok. I must caveat that the food in Tibet is not good at all so being OK is actually not that bad :)

Tried their bobi with 4 different vegetables and thought it was an average dish as the vegetables were common cauliflower, potatoes, tomatoes and cucumber with no unique or local cooking. Also tried their mashed potatoes fried with vegetables and it was blend with just lightly cooked vegetables placed on the potatoes. Their ginger honey drink came with lots of Ginger but no trace of honey.

However, the restaurant was nicely decorated with a traditional Tibetan style fireplace topped with friendly and efficient service from the waiting staff.

So much has changed in Lhasa over the last 10 years but this place remains the same. The affordable backpacker fare is accompanied by tasty Tibetan cuisine. There are certainly better places food wise but nothing compares to Tashi's atmosphere. Stop by for a lemon tea and some delicious apple momo's.
