We had the Deluxe “Sweet” Room, which was very spacious and comfortable. They have kept the charm of the original building but added modern comforts. The room was warm and quiet and the water was hot. Food was excellent and the staff very courteous and attentive. It is close to the Barkhor and Jokhang Monastery and only 20 minutes walk to the Potala Palace. Lots of shops to explore in the surrounding streets.

We arrived to Lhasa on May 18 and went to this hotel right away. We got room #204 on top of the reception and restaurant.
So charming and authentic, one feels transported in time.
Very attentive personnel, ready to take care of any requests you may have.
Great food for breakfast and dinner. The best yak burgers we had in Tibet. Steps away from Jokhang Monastery and very close to the Potala as well. Lovely roof top with cushions and tables under a beautiful canopy. We spent four great days there.
On our way back from Mt. Kailash we were supposed to drive from Saga to Shigatse, stay overnight there, and then drive to the Lhasa airport directly. We requested to our driver if he could skip Shigatse and drive from Saga directly to Lhasa just to spend one more night (and eat one more yak burger) at the hotel.
If we travel back to Lhasa, this will definitely be the place we will stay in, again.

Room tip: ask for room #204

Rustic and charming. Heart of the old City, walkable to Barkhour. Very dim lighting. Lovely thick quilts. Space heater and heated mattress pad (we didn't use). Groovy, but chilly, stone bathroom with shower. Lidded trash in bathroom, nice since you can't flush paper anywhere in Tibet. Good restaurant on site. Included breakfast included eggs (fried, scrambled or plain omelet) and toast.

This looked interesting from our web review prior to travelling and proved to be a great choice. We found all the staff extremely friendly and helpful. Each part of the building is decorated colourfully. The views of the mountains surrounding the city from the roof top were refreshing. We loved our stay and would return to this hotel again.

Room tip: Our room was on the alley...but still quiet. In the morning people walk around the Jo

If you want an impeccably decorated, comfortable, intimate little place, perfectly situated in the heart of the old town, then look no further. The staff were incredibly friendly, cheerful and attentive. As noted in other reviews, it is not luxurious by Western standards, but little in Tibet is.
