We visited Tibet with Windhorse Tour on the Everest Base Camp tour in early November. It wasn't too cold. I thought it was the best time of year to go to Tibet (if you are not trekking). We had beautiful weather for our day at Everest Base Camp. Our guide Tenzin and driver Cherpa were awesome! Tenzin's knowledge of Buddhism and Tibet was very impressive and really allowed us to understand everything we were seeing. Tibet is not crowded in November and we saw more Tibetans than foreigners or Chinese which was great! Murphy was fantastic working out all the details for the trip and especially in arranging and handling the delivery of the Tibet permit. Getting the permit is very complicated but everything went smoothly once we started our trip. If you are going to Tibet, I highly recommend the Windhorse Tour to Everest Base Camp with return to Lhasa. NOTE: I do not recommend the tour that goes overland to the Nepal border as the road on the Nepal side is very very bad. If you are going to Nepal after Tibet, it's best to fly to Kathmandu from Lhasa.
