We were tossing up going to Sun Yat-sen's tomb but got recommended this place instead. Took a taxi from central Nanjing (Ibis) which cost about 22Yuan. 40 Yuan per person entry fee, got us onto the ancient wall, wandering around, entry into the various towers and the park. very nice, although the steps up to the tower would be a challenge for older folk, lots of benches to rest though, but don't take a stroller or expect wheel chair acess:-)
Great views of the Yangtze River and container ships trotting up and down, plus the city spread out in all its glory.Site looks out over many areas where thousands of people were massacred during the Japanese invaison (see Nanjing Massacre museum).
Definately worth a visit with emperors throne and paneling quite nice inside the tower.
Lots of nice photo ops.
