The Museum, while solemn, was very well done. It is a bit eerie that the remains are visibly on the property, but the exhibits were thorough and interesting.

This is a museum that should not be missed. Everything was in English (and Chinese) so we could appreciate the significance of the tragedy that occurred in 1937 & 1938. Over 300,000 people were killed by the Japanese and this is considered the 'other' Holocaust by the Chinese. I would highly recommend a stop here to understand the tragedy of war.

My main purpose of stopping over at Nanjing was to visit this place. Read so much about the Nanjing massacre and this place didn't disappoint. I reached the place at 9 am and left only at noon. There was just so much to see. A real eye-openner. 前事不忘,后事之师。

Insightful, though provoking, humbling. Definitely worth a visit. Free entry!! Moving. Expensive food inside. Spend time reading testimonials of victims-and those who committed the crimes!

It was a great memorial, but you really need a lot of time to get through the exhibits. It's well worth it. Make sure you follow the right path or you'll miss a whole section. We almost dis. Peaceful and beautiful.
