This has to be Nanjing best hotel at this time. A hotel of real international standard.
The room and bath is extremely confortable and cozy.
The hotel has a nice bar at level 80+ with a good view of NJ. The resident band is quite good too.
Hotel is located near to a mrt station and two stations away from shinjiekou.

The hotel was excellent. Room is large and modern. Location is very good, 10 minutes walk to Xuanwu Lake and hunan road (shopping and local dining) and right by the metro. Check-in and check-out was slow and they don't smile.

The InterContinental Nanjing is still one of the nicer hotels in the city. Rooms: larger size by Asia standards for the normal room. Since it’s the highest building in Nanjing, the street noise level is fairly low. Service: as expected, although I did not use the concierge/have many questions. Restaurants: multiple options. InterContinental price level, but good quality. The Cantonese restaurant has good dim sum – just prepare to pay more than an outside restaurant. Facilities: Used the swimming pool – outside pool and hot tub was closed already (early September). Indoor pool (small lap, 5ft depth all around) was fine but a bit too warm. The locker room Jacuzzi was under repair during our stay, although the steam room was operational. Location: it’s not in the center of the city but North in Gulou district, although one convenience is the InterContinental is attached to a 5 story mall (Zifeng Plaza), which has a few restaurants (Sichuan, Singapore, local coffee shop-didn’t try), a movie theatre (Chinese and English showings)- which we tried and enjoyed, then the usual clothing stores…nice if you decide to stay near the hotel since outside it’s more the standard Nanjing streets.

The InterContinental Nanjing is the tallest building in Nanjing, and it may well be the best hotel in Nanjing. This property exudes quality. The rooms are as good as any I have experienced anywhere in the world. The location is in the heart of the city, and near the original campus of the prestigious Nanjing University.

My experience checking in was outstanding, and all of my experiences with hotel staff were excellent. You check-in in the lobby, then you take the elevator to the 45'th floor to transfer to another bank of elevators that takes you to your room floor. The elevator system is fairly novel, you swipe your key and then enter your floor on a key pad - you are then assigned an elevator (from a bank of 5 or 6). Your designated elevator only stops at those floors that have been assigned through the keying in system, and my experience is that more than two or three stops is rare.

The 45'th floor is home to a lobby lounge, and a hotel restaurant. The breakfast in the hotel restaurant is excellent, with a wide range of choices and plenty of seating. A bit of advice on seating, the seating area wraps around the service area, and there are excellent seats along the windows toward the back. Enjoy the view while eating your breakfast!

The hotel internet service was fast and reliable.

There is a wonderful lounge/bar on the 78'th floor, which I highly recommend. There can be live entertainment, and at night the views out over the city make for a wonderful environment to have a beverage with friends and colleagues.

My only criticism of this property is that the fitness center is inadequate. A property so large and at the high end of the market should be larger and better equipped.

There's a walking street with a nice assortment of Chinese cuisines not far from the hotel. Ask the concierge for directions and recommendations.

Bottom line, this is the place to stay if you are doing business in Nanjing.

The hotel is located on the higher floors of this new (2-year old) building in Nanjing. At 80+ floors and 300+ meters I was told this is the 7th tallest building in China. Since my room was on the 60th floor I had to change elevator on the 45/F to get there. On the 45/F and 47/F are restaurants with a great view, and each was a great place for breakfast.

The hotel room was huge - and it was not even a suite. Getting to know the light and other controls took a good 30 minutes. This is your hote if you want a view from a height, and a brand new, very modern interior. For me, I miss the old-fashion comfort of a small room where I know where all the light and temperature controls are.

It is also a very expensive hotel. Guess I will skip it the next time I come again.

Room Tip: The hotel is brand new but there is too much overhead time in getting from the lobby to your room...

The first impressions of this hotel are great and the hotel does not disappoint. The room I was upgraded to had a glass wrapped circular bath in the middle of the room with a colour change ceiling lighting system which would have been great if i had not been travelling alone!

The impressive Club Lounge was worth the extra cost (you can pay to upgrade your booking when you arrive) for the peace and quite at Breakfast, and for the complimentary meeting room use.

If I had any complaint at all it would be the staff, who whilst well meaning and trying hard, default to "over service" and cannot take a hint that their support/assistance/involvement in a decision may not be required...this started to get a little annoying after a few days.

Room Tip: Ask for the room with the round bath and coloured ceiling lights if your traveling companion is attr...

Located in Nanjing's tallest building the hotel was good from start to finish. We were greeted with a refreshing herbal tea and a very prompt check-in process. The whole hotel is new so of course things were going to be nice, but unlike other places in China the room was really nicely finished and everything worked. Intercon has foregone the normal bedroom bathroom set up and merged the two to provide a much larger open space with a bath cleverly located at the bathroom end (see photos). The staff we very friendly, knowledgeable and appeared to really want to help.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on a high floor (they are all high) ...
