The most perfect venue in HK. Service outstanding. My sandwich was perfect. The food is really nice there. The best it`s the hotel lobby indeed.

“Fine Dining in a Different Era”
Reviewed September 30, 2013 via mobile

Stepping out of a car and into The Lobby of The Peninsula transports one back to an era of finesse as string music filled the Neo-classically styled dining hall and one eased back into an elegant cushioned chair to sup on a fine dinner.
Much has been said of the English Afternoon Teas, but dinner is a much more relaxed affair in a romantic ambience.
The service is discreet and prompt.
The set dinner menu, besides ala carte selections, offers good value for 3 courses. The choices of beef and fish are pleasing though unpretentious. What is absolutely delectable is the vision of a dessert of chocolate trifle with raspberry ice-cream in a stemmed glass. Ah yes, and some good wine to go with the gratifying meal.

“A lovely occasion”
Reviewed September 27, 2013

Having afternoon tea here is a popular thing to do so be prepared to wait in a lengthy queue. We waited for 30 minutes before being seated. The selection of teas is good. The quality of the food is good but not great. However the occasion is very special and the atmosphere is lovely.

There is only one real criticism and that is depending on your table location you could be seated right next to the queue which isn't as good. They should screen the queue off from the seated guests with more plants.

“Really enjoyed high tea”
Reviewed September 19, 2013

Took my mum here for high tea. We arrived early about 1.30ish and we were about 10th in line. It went quite quickly once they had it set up for high tea. We probably waited about 40 mins all up. Wear comfortable shoes for the wait! We had been before and last time we had a bout 90 min wait so we were prepared this time. Food was great, with portions being very generous. We certainly didn't leave hungry!. We just had the afternoon tea for 2. The waiters were good, plenty of refills for the tea. we were seated near the Prada store and it was great for people watching. We didn't feel rushed, we took our time eating our food and enjoying our tea. Will go back if im ever in HK again.

“High Tea”
Reviewed September 16, 2013 via mobile

Standing in line for the high tea is not always fun when you've been standing for an hour. However, once you get your table and order your tea set, it's always pleasant to just sit and eat your scones and sip your tea. Especially when you're with great company! The sandwiches were yummy and the top tier of tiny sweets were delicious.
