The tea here is great, but so is the yummy vegetarian dim sum. Great for those worried about what bit of animal is in this :-)

They do seem to get busy so recommend making a reservation, which is easier said than done. When we asked they said no bookings! yet when we came back later they asked if we had a booking.

You are smart to book here... It is a long way up the hill, to Hong Kong Park... so best no to be disappointed by a full house. Inside the restaurant, it is decorated as a very traditional tea house, small tables and small seats/stools, not a lot of room around you... But it is the atmosphere.
We booked for lunch, we all had different teas, so we tried each others. We ordered about 8 dishes, which sounds a lot, but most were small, plus we were a party of three. The service is extremely prompt; we enjoyed all, except the fried lotus cakes. They were not horrible, just tasteless. To give you an idea of cost for the three of us approximately Australian $50, which is about USD51

Went here for a late breakfast one morning on route to Victoria Peak. One word. Wow!

The selection changes daily, but what we had was simply delicious. Everything is vegetarian, and quite traditional. There is a very extensive tea menu, or a shorter list of recommendations if you don't know what you like. The setting is lovely, the interior decor is pretty, and the staff are extremely polite (some speak English, others don't). We ordered about 8 or 9 savoury dishes and 3 desserts, and were very satisfied. It isn't cheap, but quality never is.

They also sell a selection of tea - but for that, we went to the actual tea shop in Sheung Wan (290B, Queen's Rd Central, Sheung Wan. MTR A2 exit, Ladder Street entrance). It had a decent selection of teas, as well as some lovely tea pot and cup sets, all for reasonable prices. The tea shop is great because you can try anything you like, and the girl who works there is very knowledgable about all the types of teas. She will also ship to your home address. Bought quite a bit of tea (as well as on a trip last year) and will definitely be ordering more!

We went looking for this tea house after finding it on the web, and although we didn't try the vegetarian dim sum, we tried and bought some of their wonderful teas. The setting and interior decor and very helpful owner/manager(?) make for a very pleasant and relaxing experience. Highly recommended.

...with good tea assembles and for Hong kong seldom (only) vegetarian dumpling kitchen. All dumplings and soups/nodules are pure vegetarian. It's okay if you know and can manage, but portions are small, however to a reasonable price. Service is taking care and they seem to be very friendly to kids. Worth going there and spending the day in the Hong Kong Park enjoy
