Description: Bubba Gump Shrimp Company is the first and only casual restaurant chained based on a motion picture. The vision was a casual family restaurant chain themed on Forrest Gump’s life, philosophy and love of shrimp. It was an instant success, just like the movie. It captures the charm and American spirit that made Forrest Gump a smash hit with down-home décor reminiscent of the movie’s setting in Alabama, showcasing memorabilia and photos from the movie, along with reproductions of script pages, storyboards and even some costumes. Bubba Gump is located at the highest point of Hong Kong, the Peak. With the panoramic view of the Victoria Harbor, we are perfect for any events from birthday's to corporate gatherings.

With a fantastic themes restaurant ideally located som that many customers can enjoy the view from The Peak, this restaurant is one of the better ones of the Western kind in HK. If you like seafood, this is def. recommendable. It's however rather pricy - around 120-150 + service charge for one dish

We were on a night tour which included dinner at this restaurant. The staff were helpful but the food was poor. The "clam chowder" was gluggy and terrible. My ribs were OK but the accompanying chips were soggy. Our sundae was a scoop of vanilla ice cream with a small drizzle of chocolate sauce. My pomegranate margarita was good.
The toilets were not flushing properly and so they were a definite turn off.

After a great trip up the peak and walk around the peak, we settled on eating and drinking while still up there and hoped to get a good view of the city as night time approached!
The view was great, tables really close together, waiter messed up our order so by the time we got the correct starter the mains also arrived so when we got our mains the fried were cold but to be fair I didn't say anything to them on the night. The cocktails were nice and my fella said his rack of ribs were very tasty. I had the shrimp platter and they were ok, but I've better shrimp elsewhere and for better value in HK. It also ended up being one of the most expensive meals of the whole trip, $990. We shared a starter, had a main each, I had two cocktails and the fella had two lagers.

A great restaurant, and we asked for a window seat so we can see the views of the city. The food was fantastic, and loved the whole Forest Gump theme of the restaurant. The kids got a colour pack when they arrived. The meals were big servings, we ended up sharing three meals (and one of them was a kids meal) between the four of us. Loved how the kids meal came out in a cardboard boat. Staff and service was great.

Ive been here a couple of times and the staff are always very friendly and accommodating. Food ranges from fish and chips to more specialty seafood dishes. Has a great view of Hong Kong Island and Victoria Harbour, also good with kids. If your heading up to the peak as a tourist, its a good place to visit for lunch rather than simply shopping at the junk shops there and going back down on the tram.
